In the WAU Garden, near the Student Council Conference Hall
[Maria waiting in the biggest garden gazebo]
Maria: Argh! Why am I so early when people are late? Even it's the same in the other way around! Gah!
???: Philippines?
[She turns to where the direction of the voice is and saw Ivan]
Maria: . . . Kuya (Big brother) Russia?
Ivan: Why are you here so early in the morning?
Maria: *Giggle* . . . I was going to ask the same question, silly. Here, have a seat.
[She smiles and offers a seat and Ivan sits beside her . . . very closely.]
(Maria's Mind: *Blush* . . . He's too close!)
Ivan: Where's everybody?
Maria: . . . I-I . . . don't know . . .
(Maria's Mind: Geez, Phil! Calm down!)
Ivan: . . . Are you alright? You're stuttering . . . Is my atmosphere intimidating you, devushka?
Maria: N-No! Not at all! Besides . . . it's not that---and I don't think you're intimidating. You're cute, actually.
[She immediately covers her mouth and looks away from him, realizing what she said]
(Maria's Mind: *Facepalm* . . . Why did you say that, Dumb Baka (Cow)!? Sira ka ba (Are you nuts)!?)
[Ivan looks at her in a bit surprised way, then looked at the sunflowers swaying in the other side of the garden, and troubledly smiled.]
Ivan: *Chuckle* . . . Is that so? You know, devushka, no one has ever told that in front of me bravely . . .
(Ivan's Mind: . . . Except one.)
Maria: Told you what, Kuya?
Ivan: That . . . I'm cute; not intimidating or scary.
(Maria's Mind: Of course, Maria! Why did you need to ask that!? How dumb can you be!?)
Maria: Uh---Are you trying to flirt with me, Kuya?
(Maria's Mind: WHAT THE PETCHAY (HORSE RADDISH) IS HAPPENING TO YOU LATELY, SELF!?)
Ivan: *Laugh* . . . What makes you say that? Only France, the Italian brothers, Spain or England can do it so well . . .
(Maria's Mind: ---Diyos ko po (Oh my God). I just forgot his very important day!)
Maria: . . . I'll be right back.
[Maria goes out from the gazebo and jogs further through the garden fields]
(Ivan's Mind: I wonder what she's up to. *Sigh* . . . No one has ever noticed yet . . . Well, I'll be doing it by myself then.)
[Maria goes back inside the gazebo and puts his head a chamomile flower crown and a sunflower bouquet]
Ivan: . . . !
