it's a woman saying goodbye to her husband. they're sending him out on a boat, into the sea. as soon as he gets far enough away, they will shoot a flaming arrow at the boat and set it afire, a startling contrast against the light grey sky casting a gentle glow over everything, the earth and sun wanting to be respectful of his passing.
the woman is caressing a delicate flower in her fragile hands. she has beautiful grey hair, carefully pinned up. her hands are withered from her bountiful life and she wears a small, secret smile. one only meant for her and her love.
she's remembering how they fell in love. all the times they danced together with no one around. when he took her on little surprise dates. telling their grandchildren he stories of their life spent together. the secrets they whispered into the dark late at night when they know they should be sleeping.
behind her stands their big family. all the people that loved him endlessly. every one misty eyed or full out crying, but not her, no. she's happy. not because he's dead but because it won't be long until she's with him again. every body here is grieving his death but she's remembering his life and awaiting the day she joins him. she doesn't know when it's going to happen, but that it's going to be soon. and she's finally ready. even when it will cause more grief to her family, she will be celebrating their life with the one person that knows her whole entire self.
