Jack Falahee as Samuel Reyes.

============

The next day I'm at my locker looking for a particular note in my Math book when I feel someone breathing down my neck and the scent of cinnamon mint gum.

I turn around slowly ready to whack the Wierdo with my book before I see a cocky smirk directed at me.

Great. It's Tommy.

"Hey babe" he tells me pushing himself off the locker he's leaning on.

"I'm not your babe so drop it" I roll my eyes turning back to my book.

"Come on babe stop playing games, I know you want this as much as I do" he tells me motioning to himself.

I take in his black leather jacket, red shirt and black jeans with a pair of black boots.

"I'm good but thanks for the offer" I tell him shutting my locker and starting to walk away.

But apparently he can't take a hint. Shocking.

"Alright what's wrong? All girls fall at my feet the minute I open my mouth, why are you different. He asks jogging up to me.

I stop in my tracks spinning around on my pink flats to face him.

"Why am I different? Why am I different? Because I'm not some prize to be won or some..." I stop trying to find the right words. "Something to check off your bucket list!" I tell him flummoxed.

"PREACH!"

"You're an idiot!" I roll my eyes at him walking to the school garden and sitting on a bench under a tree.

"Okay yes I agree I am" he starts coming up behind me. "But I'm not as bad as I seem"

"No, you're definitely worse!" I tell him reopening my book and reading it.

He stays quiet and for a split second I think he's given up but that thought vanishes when he comes in close to whisper in my ear.

"I'll never give up you babe" he pulls back and walks away.

I watch him leave. And is that happiness I feel at the bottom of my stomach?

Ew no I do not like Tommy. Do I?

I remove the thought from my mind and focus on my math book but somehow Tommy is still wandering around in my mind.

I end up smiling while I read looking like a complete freak to anyone he passes and sees me.

But I just can't stop smiling.

I sit there reading for a while before I head to my locker, my Literature book is in there and I need it for my next class.

I'm almost at my locker when I see Tommy with some girl with his arm around her.

He red hair is obviously dyed and her extensions are as fake as her tan and her dress cannot get any tighter or shorter.

I roll my eyes and turn around preparing to walk away telling myself I don't care.

But I look back at them and his traveling hands and somewhere deep down a voice is telling me I do.

I ignore and walk back to my locker pushing the thought out of my head.

I get my book out and head to class with Tommy still on my mind and lucky me we have the same class right now.
