"Next, Please"

(In this AU lapis takes Stevens idea of working in a coffee shop in empire city.)

"Next please." Lapis said. She worked in SunBucks, a popular ripoff of a popular shop. She didn't mind the job, and she occasionally had a hot chocolate during her break. But some customers were a bit... Annoying, to say the least. Lapis had a name for them. "Malachites". And that's what her next customer was. A Malachite. He wore a green t-shirt with a black leather jacket. He had white spiked hair and earrings. His teeth were also pointy? "what would you like." Lapis grumbled. "I would like you to come to my concert, blue freak."
"Sir, there are people looking for coffee."
"Then I'll have a black coffee. Make it snappy. Blue freak."
"What's your name."
"Marty, what's yours?"
"Malac- Lapis. Wait at counter 3."
"See ya, Blue Freak."
"trust me, you're the freak" said lapis under her breath
Marty glared at her.

Time Skip
Lapis went into an alley and summoned her wings. People called her weird last time she did it in pubic, so she always done it in private. When she made it back to her apartment, she realised it was open. An alien poster was stuck on the door. Her new roommate must of arrived. She heard laughing from the other bedroom. A familiar laugh.

Oh no

It was her.

Lapis opened her roommates door. "Hey! Nice to meet you I'm p- oh.. Hi lapis". "You, huh? Well, I have to go to work early tomorrow. I won't be here. All day. Thankfully."

"Look lapis, I know you hate me but please, I'm different now. I-I.." Peridot went a dark green. " I want to be friends."
Lapis growled. " You used me. You used me and didn't care about me! Why are you acting all nice? So you can pick me up and throw me down again?"  Tears fell down her face.
"Lazuli.. I'm different now. Eart-"
" I don't want to hear your nonsense!"
"LAZULI LISTEN TO ME. I just.. URGH. Leave it. You won't care. You don't care about anything! You don't care about me!
But I care about you."
Peridot curled up into a ball and began to cry.
"Peri... I didn't realise.. I... I care about you too. I didn't want to be hurt again. Please forgive me."
Lapis sat on peridots bed and put her hand on her shoulder. Peridot looked up with tear stained eyes.
"Really?"
"Really."
