"Hades. That'll be his name. And her name will be... Adelphie. Hades meaning Unseen, or invisible, and Adelphie meaning dear sister."

Hades and Adelphie were just born, yet both were conscious, and had a feeling they had powers superior to their fathers, and they, with the twins' power of telekinesis, agreed that they should try and hide it. They were handed to their father, Kronos, by their mother Rhea [Rey- a]. They felt power radiating off Kronos.

Kronos looked at them and smiled. His first children, and they were twins, and beautiful... He sighed... His father and mother had been wrong about the curse- there was no way these sweet kids would overthrow him....

As the twins grew up, they found it harder and harder to keep their powers a secret... But one day when they were 10 years old, Adelphie was being teased by Uncle Hyperion's daughter Selene, who was 5 years older than the twins, and so Adelphie blew up at her and accidently revealed her powers in front of Kronos and Rhea. Kronos had a growing suspicion that there was something they had been keeping from him, and he was starting to trust the both of them less and less. Now  was different. Kronos suspected that if Adelphie had greater strength than he, so did Hades... And he realized that he had been all wrong about the prophecy... They very well could overthrow him... So he decided to not only do something about it, but separate them forever, so if they could never find each other, and revolt. He decided, with Rhea, he would swallow Hades, keeping him forever trapped and immobile, and he would kill Adelphie as well as he could, as she was immortal.

So the next day, Kronos woke the twins up, and brought them to the throne room. he also summoned all of his siblings. When everyone had gathered, he announced what he was going to do. Hades and Adelphie were so shocked and hurt that they couldn't do anything as they were tied up. Hyperion had greatly agreed that this was a suitable punishment for the "crime" Adelphie had committed.

Hades was forced to watch as Kronos grabbed his scythe, the same one that had Uranos' blood on it, and gently guided Adelphie away from him. He watched, full of horror, as Kronos guided Adelphie to the middle of the room, raised the Scythe, and let the weight of the blade fall against her, splitting her wide open, creating a wound that would not heal, ever. She cried out in pain, as she fell to her knees, and then on to lay bleeding out on the palace floor. Hades let out a blood-curdling scream, and tried to rush forward, but was forced back. He didn't understand why Kronos killed Adelphie...

Later that day, Hades was feeling really down, and he hadn't eaten all so he was starving... When it came time for dinner, he was ravenous, and at the sight of food, he almost forgot all about what had happened, but when he remembered, it was too late. Kronos had planned on making Hades pass out and erase Hades' memory for 5 years, and Hades was little enough to swallow hole, so that's what Kronos did.

When Hades came-to, the first thing he noticed was how dark it was, and he didn't remember anything. Nothing. He had no clue where he was, at all...
