Kylie and I have been dating for about a month now. We try to see each other everyday but with our schedules that doesn't happen very often unless we have a planned date. We are planning on going to see a new movie tomorrow after school. Once again, I'm sitting at home watching television whenever I hear a light pounding on the door. I wasn't expecting anyone over tonight. I cautiously walked over to the door and opened it up. What I saw stopped me straight in my tracks. I saw Kylie standing there but something was terribly wrong. There was a slash across her stomach, one on her arm, another down one of her legs, and her head was bleeding.

"Help" I quickly rushed to her and she collapsed in my arms, unconscious. I set her on the couch gently and rushed to the phone. Clearly I called 911 and they said they would be here in around 11 minutes. I started to freak out. I don't think that's going to be fast enough. Her breathing was already starting to slow by the minute. What in the world had happened to her? I rushed to her side and grabbed her hand; felt her pulse one more time. "Please, Kylie. Please." That's all I could say, waiting for the ambulance to arrive.

I know Kylie took her weapons to the new base. I checked her rooms before we had set off on the plane. Deep down I knew she would disobey me and take them despite my orders. It is the only part left she has of Lily. There is no way for me to explain how much I loved Lily. How much I still love her. She wasn't supposed to die that day. All I remember is blood, everywhere; and Kylie's bloodied screams haunting my nightmares.

Her pulse was extremely slow. Most people would think she was dead. Right now, we were in the back of an ambulance. The consultant warned me that from so much blood loss and because of the effect of the medicine, she wouldn't wake up for a while. I finally managed to calm down, as long as I keep shaking my leg. God. I hate seeing her like this;hurt, pale, bleeding out. When we reached the hospital they forced me to sit in the waiting room. It took three men to keep me there. I finally stopped struggling against them and just gave up. I tried to think of anything else but Kylie just kept popping up. It didn't take much longer for me to pass out from exhaustion.

Four hours later I was woken up by a young nurse poking me in the side.

"By chance, are you Finn?" She quickly asked.

"Yes. Why?" I asked quickly leaning up and bracing my arms against the arms of the chair.

"Kylie keeps mumbling something that sounds like 'Finn.' She's not fully conscious but you are allowed to go in now if you would choose."

"Of course. Please," I quickly said. It took a couple minutes for us to reach her room. It felt like an eternity. Finally the nurse stopped at a door and twisted the knob open. Once I walked in she gave me a slight nod and walked away. I pulled a chair out from by the wall and plopped it right by Kylie's bed. I didn't hesitate to grab her hand and give it a slight squeeze.

Once again I fell asleep.

"F.... Run..... Safe..... Wes..... Fi..." I was awoken by her soft mumbling. I looked over at the clock, 3:47am, not to bad. "Sword... Family..... Dead..... Fi.....Finn.... Finn" her mumbling started to get faster, louder. Her breathing became ragged. I squeezed her hand again. "Finn... Finn.... FINN!!!" She abruptly shot up and winced, she then looked around frantically. I squeezed her hand and eased her back down.

Kylie

I winced, pain shooting through my whole body. I quickly looked around. Him. He was here. He was okay, holding my hand. His hair was pointing in a bunch of different directions. I noticed when he's nervous or upset, he runs his fingers through his hair. I looked around once more. It looked like a regular hospital room and smelled of the same horrible stench it always has. He put his hand on my shoulder and slowly eased me back down onto the bed. I felt pain, sharp pain, and a strong overwhelming feeling run through me. I was alive. I was alive. Tears silently began streaming down my face.

"I'm right here, Sunshine." She looked me in the eye. I didn't dare break her stare. Her eyes, they looked hollow, and scared. "Hey, it's okay. You're safe now," I whispered as I saw tears fall down. "No, ssshhh, Kylie you're okay, it's all going to be okay." I kissed her lightly on the top of your head. "I promise you, I won't let anyone hurt you." Her crying stopped for a second. She looked up at me, tears streaming down her beautiful face.

"Promise?" She looked at me expectantly.

"I promise." She squeezed my hand and I slowly leaned in and gave her a kiss. She hesitated for a moment but then kissed me back. I pulled away and wiped the tears from her face. She slowly sat up and scooted to the edge of the hospital bed, patting the now open area. I slowly got up and lowered myself down, making sure to avoid all of the IV's and wires. I lowered my arm around her and she reluctantly scooted closer and laid her head on my chest. She began to shake again. "Kylie it's all going to be okay.," I ran my fingers through her hair. This seemed to calm her so I kept doing it. Slowly she fell into a deep slumber.
