Penny Candy

“Okay mom I'm going to grab some candy at the store" you scream, walking out the door. “Ok be back soon please”, she shouts from the kitchen. “I will" you scream slamming the door. The store was about 10 minute walk down the road, and being as you lived in the country was a cute little country market. It had all the old candies and homemade sweets that you just couldn’t find anymore. You arrived and pushed open the door, setting off the little entrance bell. The owner Mr. Smith walked out from behind the counter “Ahh (Y/N) it’s so good to see you again” he said smiling warmly. “It’s good to see you too Mr. Smith” you said politely. “We just got in some new penny candy” he said excitedly “And I think you’ll be very impressed”. “Thanks I’ll have a look”, you said. Mr. Smith’s wife called from the room in the back of the counter, you smiled before catching a piece of Double Bubble gum he tossed you. “On the house, call me when you’re ready” he said smiling, before walking into the back. You popped the gum into your mouth and cracked up, as you read the little comic wrapped around it, before walking towards the penny candy, on the other side of the store. You heard the entrance bell go off, and saw a cute guy you didn’t recognize looking at you from across the store, your eyes meet and lock. You quickly look away not wanting to seem rude. He walks towards you, as your picking out some candy. You pick up a brown bag from the little stand and start mixing candies, you start with a couple fried eggs, some sweetish berries, smarties, m&ms, big foots, salt water toffee, regular toffee, you throw in 6 of the little wax bags with juice in them, and a scoop of every other candy they have. "I was going to say nice choice but I guess you didn’t really make one. Huh Love?” you smile and turn away all embarrassed. He tilts your head up and looks into your eyes, "I'm so sorry but your eyes are so gorgeous I just can't look away". You laugh and so does he, "your laugh is addictive. It's so contagious”. You turn blood red and he kisses your lips lightly. “What was that for?” you ask. "Sorry but I couldn't help but kiss the most overall beautiful girl I've ever meet” he says smirking.
