{~song for the chapter: Thriller-Michael Jackson~} Braelynn's POV: ~the next day~ I wake up to see a notification lighting up my phone It says "Halloween" written in bold red letters I'm beyond excited yet sad because it's my last day at work I walk to my bathroom & brush my teeth I wash my mouth out with mouthwash I brush my hair out & tie it into a simple braid I get dressed & I smile seeing myself in the mirror I grab my purse not caring about makeup at this point I run down the stairs My mom smiles "Someone's happy" she says giving me a small smirk "Yes I am.." "Oh make sure you & Nate come to the Halloween party we throw" she says "Yes mom I'll make sure." "But at lease change once you get here." She says "They're be loads of people & I don't want you to scare them" she adds I giggle "Alright." "What time will you arrive?" "By 9pm since we start early today..5pm I'll be working & 9pm i get off." "Yay perfect! I'll see you later" she says & tips her witch hat over at me I smile & blow her a kiss As I'm locking the front door after stepping out Two arms wrap around me I turn around to face Nate "Going to work?" "No. I'm going to strip" I say sarcastically "You better not be. That body's only to be seen by my eyes" he says grabbing me & pulls me into his arms His arms feel rough yet good "Yes it's all yours." I say looking up at the sky "Look into my eyes when you say it" he says in a demanding tone I pull back "Nah...now you sound crazy" I say backing away "I'm sorry I'm just..very-" "Overprotective?...yeah I can figure that. I'll see you later" I say waving & climbing into my car "Wait drive me to work with you" he says calmly "No..I can't.." I say frowning "Why are we keeping this a secret? You know the boys will see us together at your party right?" He says "You know the reason Nathan" I say locking the car doors "Bye" I say & I roll up my window He slightly taps on it & I pull out of my driveway I drive straight to work ~at work~ -6pm-

I'm dressed up with two pigtails in my hair I walk around scaring people I walk to the back Where I take my breaks I take off my mask & I pull out a blunt I light it up & take a puff I hear "tsk tsk" from behind me I jump & turn around to see Mitch "You didn't stop did you?" He says crossing his arms "It's not a promise anymore if we aren't friends anymore..so shut up Mitchell" I say "Rae you can't stay away from me..you need me just as much as I need you. Calvin & I broke up a couple of days ago & I needed someone to talk to." He says "Don't call me Rae...I'll let Nate & my true friends call me that but not you!" I say yelling in his face "True friends?! I was friends with you since we were little & you wanna call strangers you met early this month your true friends..bullshit....they'll forget you & drop you like flies." He says spitting a little I wipe my face & I cringe "You need me. You would be in rehab if it wasn't for me. You would be a troubled girl on the streets like your mother!" He spats I freeze "My mother is a angel don't you dare speak shit about her" I say now beyond pissed My mom wasn't perfect growing up but met my dad,got married,then had my siblings & me. She's a total angel & Mitch knows my mom is important person in my life "She isn't the angel you think. She slept with a guy before your father" "my mom lost her virginity with my dad. She was Virgin & was a straight A+ student. I always hope I'll be like her." I also realized Nate has never been in a serious relationship before He always screwed around since he wasn't into dating Yet I'm the one he chooses to be with. "Face it. You can't get rid of me" he says "You were my friend..but friends betray each other apparently..like you did..I can't be friends with someone who done wrong to me already once..Mitchell Gray have a great life & I hope you enjoy being the little whore you are" I yell I take another puff & I threw my lit blunt on Mitch Who starts freaking out as small flames erupt from the floor I throw a jacket over the fire flames & laugh as I do so He's such a big baby he glares at me "Don't cry anymore you big baby. I got rid of the scary fire" I say in a baby voice "I have to go to work" I add & smirk "You bitch" he mumbled & I walk away smirking I head back & see a group of people I follow them in & start scaring them While waving my knife around I laugh evilly as they run Man this job is fun.. ~after work~ 9:00pm straight on the clock I sign out from work & I head to my car in my regular clothes Nate runs over to me "Aren't you suppose to head back home to change for the party?" I ask confused "Yes..but I had to see you" he says & cups my face "What's up?" I ask "What have you always wanted when you were growing up?" He asks "Why are you asking?" I ask He runs away again I raise a eyebrow He runs back with a wrapped box "open it." "Its too early for Christmas gifts" I say giggling "No. No. not that." He says smiling I unwrap the box & place it on my hood I open the lid & a small tongue licks my hand I hear small barks from the box I open it to see a puppy "He's a month old" Nate says "It's a boy?" He nods "Hi baby" I say holding the puppy in my arms "I feel the love" Nate says frowning a little I run into his arms & smother him with kisses ~at home~
