     Ch.6

I don't understand teachers. If we have a 3-day weekend. They think 'Hey why don't we give them a boat load of homework plus test.' I'm appreciative of the teacher that don't do that. I need a punching bag in my room. I sit on the couch in front of a laptop. My hair is up in a makeshift bun with my bangs out.

Even through I dispise my hair up. It must be done. When I put my hair up I realize my natural light brown highlights stick out against black hair. I put a headband on because of the little hairs that randomly fall down. That feeling makes me want to jump up and start running like a manic.

It starts pouring outside so a little Pandora is just what I need. Right there pops up first.

" And I'll never let you go. You should know I'm never gonna change I'm always gonna stay You call for me I'm right there (right there) Right there (right there)

Cause you listen and you care", as I sing out someone knocks on the door.

I get paranoid because my parents are out getting food. So I grab a golf club, and I go to open the door. I open the door and close my eyes and swing.

"WAIT, " a familiar voice yells.

I open my eyes to see Elijah drenched in blue stretched out long sleeve and beach shorts. I furrow my brow in this weird combination.

"I was at the beach and it started raining. I have no ride, so I heard from someone you live here", he said as if reading my mind.

How did this kid know these things. The flow of memories of Friday came back. I put my hip and my best attitude face.

"Why should I?"

"Please Diamond. What you saw was not what you think it is."

I Just how loved he makes up random nicknames for me. Do you the hear sarcasm?

"Elijah, go away."

I felt much pent up anger toward this kid. I knew hitting wasn't going to be the answer. So instead I will high five him. In the face. With a steel chair.

"Diamond, " he says trying to touch me.

I smack his hand away. I try and slam the door in his face and he stops it with hand.

"Your not going to leave me out here", he asked with his eyebrows raised.

Those eyebrows. Ugh!

"Come in", I say with my jaw clenched.

He smiles and grabs his backpack off the floor. I didn't even notice it.

He turns around and yells, "She said it is okay. "

A car speeds off. Elijah kisses me on the cheek before walking in. Now I'm definitely hit him. He collapses on the couch with his clothes. Has this boy lost him mind.

"What are doing?", I yell.

He stares a while before answering,"You know when you yell you have a New York accent."

I sit on the couch while on the other couch. I put on my headphones and blast my music.

I've been up all night, tryna get that rich. I've been work work work work working on my shhhh.  Milked the whole game twice gotta. Get it how I live. I've been work work work work working on my shhhhh.

I calm down as this music blast in my ear. After 30 minutes I realize Elijah is still here. He is looking at me patiently waiting.

"Maybe I help you", I finally respond.

"Diamond, nothing happened. She pushed herself on me. Plus she's not my type."

"What's your type."

"The angry kind."
