CH.10

"Listen one of the reasons I like you is because you fight back. I get you're fed up. I need you to talk to me Diamond", Elijah stared into my eyes

I feel a ping a guilt.

"How am I suppose to tell you how I feel if you go into Elijah mode sometimes", I say still sitting down Indian style on the couch.

Elijah kneels down in front of me. He puts one hand on either side of me. I stare into his warm brown eyes.

"I need you to be patience with me. Sometimes I need a girl like you come and beat me with a pillow once in a while."

That brings a smile to my face. I run my fingers slowly up and down his arm.

"So what is this because I don't do open relationships", I say slowly afraid of what his response might be.

He close his eyes and thinks. I continue running my fingers up and down his arm. He opens his eyes for a second before responding.

"Well I'm not ready to be in a relationship with you yet. I need to fix myself before I get into a relationship with a girl like you", now he sounds like Ace,"Trust me I don't want to stay this forever."

"Are you saying this just to calm me down? So I don't flip out again", I say with eyebrow raised at him.

He laughs for a minute then becomes serious. Elijah kisses my forehead then my nose. Elijah stands up. I tilt my head in confusion.

"I have to go before your parents come back. I don't want you to get into trouble."

I smile and stand up to walk him to the door. He crosses his legs and spins towards me on his heels. I feel myself mentally on the floor dying slowly of laughter, as the air slips from my lungs. In real time I stand in front him sucking in my bottom to stop myself from laughing.

"Before I go. I heard you were in Chorus, so sing me a song."

The audacity of this man. I came up with smart plan. I love when my brain works this fast.

" Winnin' (I'm out), I'm winnin' The end and the beginnin' I send them on an errand then I send them like my chilren [children] You couldn't get a fan if it was hangin' from the ceilin' (I'm out)", I do a pose as I finished my rap.

Elijah's face was stone serious but warm brown eyes danced with amusement.

"You know that wasn't you singing. It was you rapping", he points out.

"Yeah, but I showed you my rapping skills. If you want to hear me sing maybe you should spend time with me more. Instead of just popping up whenever you feel like", I say with a smirk playing on lips.

I am never good at keeping a straight face.

"You give me a good incentive", Elijah turns again and walks out the door.

"What! No goodbye", I yell out the door.

Elijah turns around and steps one foot inside the house. He takes his finger and trails my jaw line. Elijah then takes his finger around my chin. He gives me a short sweet kiss. He tasted like mint and I loved it. Even I'm not a fan of mint myself I love it for him. He gives me one more sweet peck before disappearing.

I stand there smiling enjoying the feeling on my lips. I didn't want to move because if I move the feeling might go away. After a minute I finally decided to move. The only reason is because the neighbor would probably talk to my parents.

'I'm kinda worried about your daughter. She was standing outside smiling like a murder', I say in a mocking voice mentally.

The neighbor was an older lady that swore I was nothing but a teen hooligan. She always complained to my mother about me.
