California, 10 months earlier.
“What the hell are you doing!?” Anthony hollered at the guys who were hanging the huge blank sheet that would soon be the football banner the football players would break through. “You idiots! You’re going to tear it!”
The first banner for the football game was liked by everyone and they were asked to make a new one. Anthony knew how time consuming it was and was able to compromise with the football players to go to the auditorium and hang up the new one.
We just had to get the dumb ones. Anthony thought to himself.
Gabe walked into the auditorium followed by Valerie. Valerie was laughing and it was a sight almost no one ever saw. Anthony turned and was glad to see a smile on her face, “Well! What’s got you so happy!?” he asked.
“Gabe is just so funny!” she replied, making Gabe blush.
“You just have a dirty mind!” Gabe replied with a laugh.
“Well get your asses up here and help me finish drawing the image for this crap.” Anthony said.
Gabe and Valerie walked onto the stage, one of the guys hanging the banner fell of his chair spilling one of the paint buckets onto the stage. “Oh shit!” Anthony exclaimed, “Were you guys playing around again!? Gabe go bring a mop or something!” Gabe ran out of the auditorium and into the custodian's room across the hall.
“What the hell am I supposed to use to clean that crap up?” he asked himself as he looked through the supplies.
After grabbing a mop and a spray bottle, Gabe made his way back to the auditorium and bumped into the football players as they walked out and shouted at Anthony. “Well how about you shove that thing up your ass!” the one who had spilled the painted yelled. ”Why don’t you come up here and say it to my face mother fuc-” Anthony began to say before Gabe interrupted. “Hey! Hey! Calm down!”
“Whatever! Bring me the mop!”
Valerie was the only one who knew how to use the mop, so she helped mop the floor while Anthony tried putting the paint back in the bucket. “Why did I agree to let those asswipes help?” he questioned. Valerie rolled her eyes,”Let it be, we have this under control now.”
After fully cleaning they started work on the drawing. Anthony turned on a projector which they used to trace the image and save some time. As they worked, James walked in with his girlfriend Sarah, who almost no one in the room liked. The tension and awkwardness was pretty high, and James and Sarah looked pretty high themselves.
Anthony was the first to noticed and was immediately ticked off. He knew James would just fool around with his girlfriend and not help.
“James are you high?” he asked.
“Dope. I mean nope! Sorry I just took a nap and I can’t talk right...” James replied.
“James go home.” Gabe replied and caught James off guard.
“How about you go with me! I’ll bake you a cake!” James replied and both him and Sarah broke out laughing.
“Ha ha! You said bake! Like we are!” Sarah said as she hugged a seat.
Anthony, Gabe and Valerie stared at the with blank faces while they continued laughing.
“That doesn't even make sense! Get out.” Anthony said with a straight face. “Now.”
“Ok kid! I’ll be leaving, just don’t come asking to party later!”
“Shut up! And I’m no kid! I’m older than you are!”
