Chapter 6: The baby

That night I could not sleep. I didn’t know what we were going to do about the baby. It was still time for me to get an abortion but I could not do that to a baby. Then I thought I could give it up but then I think of me and Nathan. What if we have kids latter in life and they end up doing the same thing we did. I wanted to call Nathan but then I saw it was after two in the morning so I decided not to cause he might and I needed to get some sleep to.
The next morning I called Nathan so we could meet for lunch.
“Hey Nicole.” Nathan says as I walk up to the table.
“Hi” we had a quick hug and then sat down. “So I wanted to ask you what do you think we should do with the baby.”
“Well I was think about that all night and I thought that maybe we should raise the baby as one of us being the parent and the other as the ant or uncle. So that way we will both be in the baby’s life. And we both can pay for the things the baby may need. And the baby can spend the night all the time so we know the baby well.”
“Well I can see you really thought about this. I did to but I never thought about that. I think that could work out.”
“So who is going to be the parent.”
“I can do it. I already have enough space in my house for the baby.”
“Good I I only have a one bedroom I would have had to move after a while.”
“So when are we going to tell our family.”
“I guess on Friday when we go over for dinner.”
Friday night
We both brought our parents again so we could tell them all at once. As we ate dinner we just talked more about our lives so we could all get to know each other and I found out how much I had I comment with my mom and Isabella.
“ Oh so did you both decide what to do with the baby.” My mom ask
“Yes we decided that the baby will grow up knowing me as the mom and Nathan as the uncle.” I say
“Ok that’s fine while the baby is young but what about once the baby gets older and starts to ask who his or her father is.” Nathan’s mom asked was a good question.
“Well then we can tell him or her that she had a one night stand and does not know the father.”
“What of you have other kids and they ask why you care for that baby like you care for them?” My mom asked Nathan “Or if your kids want to know why uncle Nathan likes this baby more.” She asks me.
“I think we should tell this baby once he or she is old enough to understand what happened. And tell the other kids once they are older to.” I say feeling like now we had no idea what to do once the kid grows up.
“I think you need to think about this a little longer.” Says Nathan’s mom.
“No I think it is up to me and Nicole and I think once they are older they should know the truth so this baby can know his father and the other kids do not feel as if this baby was more important to me or Nicole.” Nathan says and I feel so happy when he does. I wish he was not my brother cause I could fuck him right now.
