School started about three weeks ago, I was already good friends with Kione and Fayna. Me and Kae were always discussing books late at night through texts. School was actually turning out to be fun.
After I came home from school I decided to make the to a park I discovered when we first moved. I started going there before school started and only went there about three times a week, usually on the weekends. It was the only comfort zone I had. I usually read there, no one around me really went there since it was a bit in the forest.
I walked along the dirt path leading deeper into the forest the play ground were like one of those things you say online, vines creeping up, faded paint. It was beautiful.
I pushed the vines out of the way and stepped onto the mossy woodchips. The swing on the left had a broken chain, but some day I was hoping to fix it since it had a clean seat. I just needed to replace one of the rings.
The slide was broken off and only left a jungle gym with a rusted in zipline. Where the slide was, there was a hollow part under it where I usually sat, there weren't many woodchips down there and if I saw one I would remove it. The ground there was also covered in moss which made a soft seat from me to sit and read.
I pulled back the deep green curtain I placed to keep it mostly hidden and crawled inside. Against the wall on the left was a pillow with two armrests that I leaned on. On the right side was some steps that were upside down, I usually stored things there, like the book I was reading or food. I placed my bag off in fron of me and pulled out my laptop, I usually played a bit of music on it since I set up a wifi port with equipment I installed,
I put on a twenty one pilots playlist and pulled out my most recent book, It was a fantasy story about wolf human hybrids , they could transform between the two at will. They went on an adventure together to find more winged wolves like Chiri. The author actually wrote it about her kids and their friends, Chaya Skia. She was a good inspiration to find the magic in life. She told reporters that her mom wrote a story about her and he friends, I read it before I started this one and the second one fills in some of the plot holes.
I opened up to a bit further than the middle of the book and started reading. A sound interupted my consentration. I put down my book and got on my knees, I pulled the curtain back a bit and looked around.
Kae.
He was looking around the park and soon made eyecontact with me, "Hello?" He said walking closer.
I naturally closed the curtain and backed up farther away. Kae opened the curtain back up,
"Masumi?" He asked opening it more, "Whoa, you got a whole thing going on over here, I heard music while walking and found you here."
"Hey, you can come in if you want." I turned down my volume and he came in. The space was big enough for 3 people against a wall confortably. Above this spae used to be the main space where more stuff were conected. There was another room like area with standing space but it was a bit too small to fit anything in.
"How did you do this?" He asked in awe at the room.
"I bought a pillow and a curtian and started this." I explained simply.
"Hey,-" He said suddenly remembering something, "-Aren't you going to the Asters Fest?"
"What's that?"
"It's a big festival in our town that happens around the end of summer, when asters bloom all over town."
"What are asters?"
"You haven't seen them? They're a flower, a bit like a daisy but with color, mostly purple and pink."
"Sounds fun. What all at the festival?"
