I slipped my ripped socks into my heelys and opened the two layers of doors. My dad was always crazy about protecting the family because we own some kind of mansion, with my moms doctor work and my dad being a police officer we made quite a lot of cash.
I rode down the street with my plaid baggy pants fluttering in the wind, I never really bothered to try and make an impression, people always just saw me as some rich spoiled kid. So I guess that's why I dress like trash. The school came into view and I looked to see Kione waiting by the front entrance. She waved to someone who was standing near her as they went into the school.
"Hey, you're almost late," She doesn't bother to look up at me. Kione was one of the most badass girls I've ever met. I always wished that I could achieve that level of chill.
"I know, I was up late jamming out." I responded, I often practiced playing the guitar.
"Aw man, you should had me over it would've been lit" Kione would come over every once in a while and play drums for me. Again, the coolest dude I've met.
"It would've, it would've" I nodded.
"Oh dude gotta go to Mr Rizz Rozz's class or he'll beat my ass." She waved as she entered the science class room
"See you later," I said going off on my own to social studies.
Arriving at class I sneak on my ear buds in the tangles of my black hair, I got black colored earbuds so they blend into my hair and I can ignore class. I twitch my fingers to the sounds of the guitar memorizing it. After more classes I make it to lunch.
"Oh hey! I really like your hair" I tell the girl sitting next to Kione,
"This is Masumi" She says resting her head on her shoulder.
"Sup I'm Hank" I nod in her direction and took a bite of my food.
I only recently started sitting at Kione's table and I guess that girl was sick the other day.
"Hello" The girl smiles politely
She seemed like such an innocent girl, but interesting though.
My favorite thing about meeting new people is that you get to become their friends and learn their secrets. Things you wouldn't expect from first glances, I can tell Masumi has a secret, but it doesn't seem all too big.
"So, Masumi-" I looked over to her bringing my chin down to my hands, "-Do you have any siblings?" I questioned with narrow eyes and a slight smile, hoping to hit a nerve.
She looked over to her right, avoiding eye-contact, "I don't." She states regaining her poseur.
I managed something, "Any cousins?" I raised an eyebrow and covered the smirk on my face with a slight movement of my hands.
"I have a few cousins, but we are not very close." She responds without signs of discomfort.
I decide to go back to close family, perhaps a dead brother or sister, "What are your parents like?"
She looks nervously to Kione's empty seat.
Bingo.
"They get along.." She looks at her fidgeting hands.
"Ah, I see."
Even though I was a "tumblr kid" I liked to be more serious and shit. People are like flowers, you gotta make sure to water them everyday before they open up. I've learned this from experience and from visiting my dads work, he actually lets me make some money there sometimes. Though he wasn't around often was pretty rad, but I guess that's what makes him rad.
"Let's go outside for recess," Kione smiles, but stops noticing the awkward Masumi.
"A-Alright" She gets up and clings tightly to Kione careful to avoid me. I gotta make up for this eventually.
I follow behind them reading the behavior of Kione when she's around Masumi. I sensed something interesting radiating from the two.
Love?
