Jimin had noticed the alpha last week. It started out as nothing more than the alpha coming into the cafe and ordering.
Slowly, as Jimin saw more of the alpha, he started to take notice of how he wasn't mated.
But, Park Jimin had sworn to control himself since he used to work the street corners.
He had cleaned himself up after a night of heavy drinking, which was still a terrible memory of his.
But this alpha, Jeon Jungkook, was almost irresistible.
The alpha's facial features were sharp and he was attractive in all aspects.
The younger male was a police officer, who came to the cafe where Jimin worked every morning for his coffee.
Today was no different.
The bell over the door rang, Jimin moved to the counter, and he smiled to the alpha.
"Good Morning," Jimin greeted.
"Morning," Jungkook smiled back, "I'll take the usual."
"Okay," Jimin nodded and spun around to face the brewer.
"Did that alpha ever stop following you home?," Jung Kook leaned on the counter as he watched the omega.
"Oh, I wish," Jimin laughed, putting a lid on the cup. He turned back, placed the cup in front of the alpha, then started pressing buttons on the cash register, "He hangs around outside the burger joint until I leave."
Jeon stood up straight, grabbing his coffee, "Well, maybe I can stop by on my lunch break," he held out two dollars towards the omega.
"Why's that?," Jimin slightly smirked as he took the money.
"I'll take you home," Jungkook winked at him before he turned and left the store.
Jimin relaxed his muscles. His entire body flexes when Jung Kook's around and he couldn't help it.
"He's cute," Jimin's co-worker, Seok Jin, popped up beside him.
"He's not mated," Jimin whined out, unintentionally.
"Go for it," Jin's eyes grew wide at the new information.
"Hush, you know I promised not to."
"To yourself," Jin sighed, "Why don't you make a promise to yourself to be protected by a nice alpha?"
"Because I've been fine on my own these last few years."
"Oh, yeah," Jin sarcastically agreed, "Extremely fine when you go through heats by yourself."
"I don't need an alpha just for my heats. That's what got me in trouble the last time."
"Whatever. All I know, is that I really enjoy having Namjoon when I go through mine."
"Not something I wanted to know," Jimin shook his head and scrunched up his nose.Jimin was getting undressed in the staff room, putting his uniform into his locker and putting on his normal clothes.
He pulled his jeans on, admiring how they fit him perfectly. Then he suddenly remembered how Jung Kook said he'd stop by and take him home.
"Jimin, you idiot. Why did you wear such tight clothes today?!," he complained to himself and slid his shirt on. It was also snug fitting.
"Wow, Jimin," Jin giggled as he came into the room, "I guess you knew Jungkook was taking you home before he did."
"Hyung, please. I'm already tense enough. At least I didn't wear anything too revealing."
"It's not what he can see that'll set him off; it's what he wants to see that'll get you laid."
"Hyung!," the younger whined.
"Jimin," Ho Seok, a beta and the cafe manager, peeked around the door, "There's someone here who says he's walking you home."
"I'll....be right there," Jimin grabbed his phone and wallet from his locker and turned to Seok Jin, who was giving him two thumbs up.
Ho Seok had gone to relay the message, which left Jimin standing in front of the door. He took a deep breath, then stepped out of the staff room.
He kept his head down as he walked towards the front of the cafe, which wasn't helpful in his search for the alpha, but it kept him calm.
Suddenly, a hand gripped his upper arm. Jimin knew it was Jungkook because his body flexed.
"Hey," Jungkook smiled as the omega looked up.
"Hi," the omega quietly said.
"Ready to go?"
Jimin simply nodded.
"Great. You get to ride up front with me," Jungkook motioned for him to follow as he let go of the omega.
Jimin trailed behind the alpha, noticing how the younger kept his fists clenched.
Jung Kook opened the passenger door for Jimin, making sure the omega was settled before closing it and walking to the driver's side.
Jimin was tense as he sat in the police cruiser. He had been in one before, but that time he was in the back seat with handcuffs.
"Where am I taking you?," Jungkook asked as he sat down behind the wheel.
"Um...it's just two blocks up and the first right," Jimin said quietly, "You know that apartment complex next to the gym?"
"Yeah. That's where you live?," the alpha pulled the car out on to the road.
"Yeah...it's nice because I usually go the gym when I'm bored or if I get a day off from work. It doesn't cost anything either."
"You work out when you're bored?"
"Yeah," Jimin blushed, feeling as though Jeon thought he was weird.
"I guess that explains all that muscle on you. Do you live by yourself?"
Jimin contemplated on what to say. If he said he lived alone, Jungkook would know he's single; if he said he lived with someone, that'd be a lie, but a lie that protected him from getting hurt.
"Actually, I have a roommate. She usually works all day," Jimin mentally slapped himself.
"So, you'll be alone once I get you there?"
"Y-Yeah," Jimin nodded.
