Try Again (JiKook)

Twenty

Jimin hadn't stopped cleaning all morning.

Jungkook had called Namjoon and said they could bring Jaehyun home after Joon finished work.

Jungkook's Omega wanted everything to be perfect for their baby; so perfect that he sent Jungkook out to get even more applesauce for their pup.

When Kook returned, Jimin had over two-thirds of the house cleaned, their bedroom and bathroom the only things left.

"Baby," Kook wrapped his arms around his omega's waist before Ji could go back upstairs, "Take a break. I'm sure it'll be fine. The house looks great."

"But, Kookie...I want everything to be perfect," the smaller male put his hands over the alpha's.

"It is perfect," Kook lifted Jimin off his feet and brought him around to sit him on the couch, "At least...it will be once our pup comes home."

Jimin smiled at that, his hands resting on Jungkook's cheeks as the younger crouched in front of him.

"Love you, baby."

"Love you, too."

Jimin squealed as Jin brought Jaehyun into the kitchen, setting the carrier on top of the island.

Jimin immediately started playing with his pup's feet, adoring the wrinkles in his skin. He pressed kisses to the pup's face, causing Jae to swat at his mother's face.

Jimin pulled away from the baby, giggling as he turned to Jin, "He's so cute. Thanks for watching him, hyung. I owe you."

"No, really," Jin held up his hands, "Just...let me sleep for a week and consider your debt repaid."

Jimin smiled at that then turned back to Jaehyun once the baby started making gurgling sounds.

"Are you hungry, baby?," Jimin asked, pressing his finger to the baby's bottom lip.

"Probably," Jin said, leaning on the island top, "He wouldn't eat before we left, no matter what I offered."

"Really?," Jimin pouted, "That's no good. Maybe he'll eat for Momma," Jimin grinned, skipping over to the cabinet and grabbing some puréed carrots and a baby spoon.

"Where's Jungkook?," Jin asked, suddenly realizing that Jimin's alpha disappeared after he'd opened the front door for him and Namjoon.

"Um...maybe bathroom. We've both been pretty anxious to have our pup home. I know I had to pee like...five times in....two hours."

"Seriously?," Jin giggled, gaining a nod from his friend, "Is that what parenthood does to you?"

"No, it doesn't necessarily boost your bladder releases-"

Jin rolled his eyes and dropped his head in shame of Jimin's wording.

"It's just...when you have a pup, you instantly fall in love with someone you've never spoken to. So, when you're away from them....it's like something's missing and it's scary...worrying."

"So...it's like...like how I feel when Joon's on a case for a murderer or something?"

Jimin nodded, "Yeah. It's almost the exact same."

"Jinnie," Namjoon sighed as he walked into the room, causing Jin to stand up straight and turn to him, "We talked about this."

"I know," Jin mumbled, relaxing into the alpha's chest as Joon wrapped his arms around his omega.

A squeal from Jaehyun had Jimin popping open the food bottle and getting a spoon full.

Joon laughed lightly, swaying Seokjin from side to side.

Jungkook shuffled into the room a second later, sliding around the island so he could see Jaehyun. He waited until his pup had swallowed his mouthful of food before he leaned into the carrier and plopped a big kiss to the pup's cheek.

Jae scrunched up his face and brought his arms up to his face, scrubbing harshly at his face with the backs of his hands.

Jimin and Jin giggled, the younger omega leaning over to press a kiss to his alpha's jawline.

"So," Namjoon started, smiling at how Jae refused the next bite Jimin offered, "how's it feel, Kook? Having your family?"

"Ah," Jungkook wrapped his arm around Jimin's waist and pulled his omega closer, "Wonderful. Perfect, even."

"I'm happy for you, kid," Joon nodded, "I know it's gotten pretty shitty. I wish you three the best."

"Thanks, hyung," Jungkook smiled to himself, his eyes falling to Jimin's profile before they flicked over to his pup, "Same to you."

I know it's short, but I think it's good to end it here. I'm not as motivated as when i started this story, so to drag it on would be painful for everyone.

And I'm sorry it's taken so long, i really dont have an excuse other then I gave up on this story for a bit.

But, for those who think this story turned out okay, I might do an epilogue if I get enough for it. (Mainly it'd be when Jae's a toddler and like, how Jikook deals with their child growing up.)
