Eighteen

"I feel terrible asking you guys to keep him so much," Jungkook handed Jin a glass of water then sat next to Jimin, who was nuzzling a sleepy Jae Hyun.
"I'm surprised you asked your parents," Nam Joon sighed.
"Just thought they'd like to see their grandson," Kook shrugged, leaning over to kiss his pup's cheek.
"Don't worry about them," Jin said calmly, "We know they're too traditional to handle this situation."
"I don't like how they talked to you," Jimin moved closer to his alpha and Jungkook wrapped his arm around the smaller, "Regardless of your wolf's preferences, you are their son and you need help."
"Needed," Nam Joon corrected, "We'd be happy to watch him for you."
"I can't wait till he starts talking," Jin cooed, "I bet he'll be so cute."
"He's got Kook's genes, of course he'll be a player."
"Not what I meant," Jin smacked his alpha's side.
"Our baby's gonna pure and kind. Even if we aren't," Jimin smiled down at Jae, watching as his eyes fell shut.
"Yeah, nothin' pure about Jungkook," Namjoon remarked.
Jungkook pouted, crossing his arms and shaking his head.
Jimin and Jin got a laugh out of it, and Namjoon just smirked.
Jimin slid off the couch and gently placed Jae in his carrier. He stayed in the floor, fussing over the pup and tucking a small elephant toy under the little one's arm.
"I'll take care of him, Jiminie," Jin reached out and pat his friend's head, "Good practice for when we have our own pup," the oldest spoke loudly, eyes trailing over to Namjoon.
"Jinnie, we talked about this," Joon sighed, grabbing the other's hand.
"Maybe pups, who knows what I'll feel like."
"Jinnie!"
"Shush, you'll wake Jae Hyunie, loudmouth," Jin took another sip of his water and rolled his eyes.
Namjoon looked up to see Jungkook making faces at him and pointing.
Joon sent a not-so-nice gesture his way and the younger just smiled.
"So...a whole month?," Jin furrowed his brow and kind of had a pained expression.
"Yeah," Kook made another face towards Nam Joon before he leaned back and relaxed into the couch.
"I pray for Jimin. I hope the devil takes you, Kook," Joon remarked.
"Joonie!," Jin hit the tallest and rolled his eyes.
"C'mon Jinnie! He was making faces at me!"
"No reason for you to damn him to hell."
Jungkook snickered at that, watching as Namjoon held Jin's hand and sulked. The younger alpha got great joy out of making his cousin suffer the wrath of Kim Seokjin. It wasn't like they'd break up or anything. They're mates and Jungkook knows they love one another.
"I don't want him to go," Jimin suddenly pouted from the floor.
The other three turned to him, finding Jae Hyun in Jimin's arms as the omega pet his head.
"I don't either, Omega," Jungkook moved to sit next to his family, "But he'll be safe with the hyungs. We know that."
Jimin nodded, his eyes filling with tears the longer he stared at their pup.
"Oh, Jiminie," Jin sunk to his knees and reached out to lightly tickle the pup, "I'll call you every Sunday until we can bring him back. I'll tell you everything that happens and you won't have to worry."
The shorter omega nodded and glanced at Jungkook, "You're gonna have to pry him away from me. I can't let go."
Jung laughed lightly and leaned into his omega's neck, leaving a small kiss against his skin, "You're gonna have to at some point."
"You want him to go?!"
"No, not at all," Kook pushed his nose against his mate's cheek, "But I wanna get better for you and him, so we need to leave him in good hands."
"But he's so cute!," Jimin whined, "He's our baby, and I just wanna snuggle him all the time."
"I know," Jungkook wrapped his arms around his omega, "I know you do. You're a great omega."
"Alpha!," Jimin whined, leaning into the bigger male's chest.
Jin looked to Namjoon and they both sighed. At this rate, they'd be prying Jae Hyun from Jimin while Jungkook undress his mate with his teeth.
"Jiminie," Jin chimed in, "Maybe we should take Jae Hyunie over to our place now, so he can get settled enough to sleep without you guys tonight."
Jimin looked up to Jungkook, tears falling out the corners of his eyes and lips caught between his teeth.
Jungkook slowly took Jae from his omega's arms and placed him back in his carrier, then covered him up and tucked his stuffed toy under his arm.
"Oh, Alpha, what if he gets mad at us?!"
Jungkook quickly turned and wrapped Jimin in another hug as his omega sobbed against him.
Joon stood up and grabbed the bags Jimin had prepared for them. Jin grabbed onto the carrier handle and stood up, nodding to Jungkook as they left.
A couple minutes later, Jimin was making the only noise in the whole house.
His omega senses were really hating being away from their pup and Jungkook was determined to get better so Jimin wouldn't have to go through this any longer than necessary.
"I love you Jimin," Kook whispered into the smaller's shoulder, "Jae Hyunie loves you."
Jimin couldn't form words pass his tears, so he simply snuggled closer and hoped Jungkook understood the message of 'I love you too.'
