When I woke up again, it was dark outside.
'Great now in going to become nocturnal', I mumbled.
Looking at the night stand, I see that Jewel left me food. I was still not in the mood for food though even though my stomach growled slightly.
Once I get up and stretch, I walk to my ensuite bathroom.
Hopping into the shower, I manage to get a lot of time to think.
After my quick cool off, I change into sweatpants and a t-shirt. When I try searching for my phone, I stub my toe in the process.
'Ow, shit!' I whisper.
I rush back into the bathroom when my toe starts bleeding.
'Stupid dresser', I mumble.
When I finish wrapping it in gauge, I huff at the mess I made.
'Who even cares', I tell myself.
Carefully watching my step this time, I grab my phone and see it's 5:00am.
'Great now go back to bed', my wolf tells me.
'No. I can't', I reply.
'Screw you', she growls and leaves me alone.
I can't go to sleep now since my toe is throbbing and I'm not tired.
Deciding I should go downstairs to see if anyone is awake, I tip toe down the hallway past the girl's rooms.
Then right before i enter the kitchen, I get a whiff of my mate's scent.
My wolf is suddenly on alert again and demanding me to go closer.
Alpha sits at the table with his hand covering his face. Even though I can't see it, I can tell he's upset about something. Before he can detect I'm there I quietly make my way towards my room.
I almost scream out when someone grabs my wrist and pulls me into their room.
"What are you doing?!" I hiss in fright when I notice it's Jewel.
She looks wide awake.
"I could ask you the same thing", a smile plays at her lips.
"I was just...uh", I stutter not knowing what to say.
"Checking out my brother", she answers and laughs.
"No", I blush and look away.
"Is there something going on between you two cause yesterday you guys were checking each other out", she fans herself.
Great what I hoped wouldn't ever become a conversation.
"No", I let out a breath.
"What's wrong? What happened you just got here? Did Zach say something to you?" She questions me.
"I don't even know who Zach is", I reply.
My wolf starts pacing again.
"Well then what's wrong?" She asks concern crossing her face.
"I uh... Well I sorta found...my mate", I respond and she gets excited.
"Who?!" She shrieks.
"Um I-I think it's your brother", I reply and her face goes blank.
We sit in silence for a few minutes. Then she speaks up.
"You know what this means don't you?"
"What exactly?" I ask nervously.
"Your going to be the Luna of our pack. How awesome is that?" She grabs my hands.
Then it dawns on me.
If he excepts me, I'll have the responsibility to be a Luna. Oh my God.
I don't want this. I won't be able to deal with my problems and running the pack at the same time.
My wolf growls at me.
'We will do it' she hisses at me.
Normally she's never this mad at me.
What's your problem?'
'Do you not understand how important this was to me? The day we found out mate was in the same room as us' she whimpers.
'The world doesn't revolve around only you' I point out.
She cowers away whimpering.
I felt bad that I was doing this to her, but I couldn't deal with my mate and the pack right now when my pack's lives are on the line.
"So what are you guys planning?" Jewel asks.
"We actually haven't even been together both knowing we're mates", I say.
"What do you mean?"
"He obviously doesn't know since he didn't act like it", I explain.
Her jaw drops open.
"He's the Alpha. He has to know", she gets up and heads to the door.
"What are you doing?" I ask her.
"Going to tell him", she responds and opens the door.
In a flash I'm by her side stopping her.
"No don't. Please just let him figure out on her own", I plead.
"Fine", she shuts the door again and lays back down.
Relief washes off of me when I realize it's just for Alpha Ace to find out on his own.
"Do not and i mean do not tell anyone please", I grab her ankle.
"Ok", she laughs at my insecurity.
"Thank you", I sigh and lay down too.
Right when I'm about to fall asleep, I hear her voice.
"Why were you up at 5 in the morning?"
"I don't even know".
I know you guys might think the story is boring already but that's because they haven't found out their mates. Once that happens in a chapter or two more things will happen.
