Chapter eight

"Wait they don't fly but they swim?!" Armin said surprised. "I know, and they're very good at it. Like I said there called penguins, they're black and white and they live under the equator." "What's an equator?" His bright blue eyes shining at me. "Well it's an invisible line around the earth that marks the north and the south of the planet. It's also warmest closer to the equator. I'm sorry it's kinda hard to explain." I look at him awkwardly. " it's fine (y/n), wow I didn't know there was this much to know!"
I looked around and people were starting to finish up there lunch. "Hey before I go back to training, do you want to hear about the ocean?" I smiled because I knew it would spark his interest. He looked at me with childish eyes. It was like looking at a kid who opened a present at Christmas. "Oh I'd love too (y/n)!" "Ok well did you know that it covers over 70% of the whole entire world?" Wow really?! I knew it was big but not that big!" "Ya and 80% of the water on the planet is salt water." Wow (y/n) that's so cool! You know so much about everything." I blush at the compliment. "N-not really, it's just you guys have been stuck in these walls for over 100 years."
We both looked around and noticed we were the only ones left in the room. "Oh shoot I'm gonna be late for training, man I'm gonna get in so much shit!" I look at Armin as I rush to collect my things. "I'm sorry that's all I can say today, I'll tell you some more tomorrow, ok?" Before I hear his answer I run off out to the training field.

Armins P.O.V

It was after sundown and I was in my room. I was talking with Jean and Eren because I share a room with them both.
"So Eren, have a crush on anyone?" Jean said to Eren. "No" "well that was fast. Are you sure?" Jean gave a patient yet mocking smile. "For the last frickin time Jean, i don't like anyone. I don't have time to like anyone. Mr. Clean always has me tidying up or training. Or I'm stuck doing experiments with Hange." Eren gave Jean and annoyed look then went back to undoing his straps. "Uhh your no fun Eren. Hey what about you Armin, do u like anyone?" I look up from the book I was reading.
"Should I tell them. Maybe they'll just make fun of me, wait I don't even like her anyways. But why do I feel so weird around her. I'm so confused!" I argue with myself. "yeah who do you like Armin?" Eren asked looking at me with a curious look upon his face. I start to blush. "I-I don't even like her." I think to myself. "I- I think I have a crush on (y/n)."
"Omg why did I just say that! I'm so stupid!" I looked down at my hand nervously "Well it does makes sense" Eren said. "Now that I think about it you have been hanging out with her lately. And you guys have the same interests don't you?" " I guess. Now that I think about it we do" "yeah not to mention she's like super hot." Jean adds. "Wow you're  so lucky Armin, you get the girl with the brains and the good looks." "Huh, but she doesn't like me back. I only have stupid feelings for her." " but haven't you seen the way she looks at you?" I look up at Eren. "Huh? What do you mean?!" " yeah man she like totally looks at you different, not to mention she gets super nervous around you." Jean says after Eren. "For example remember breakfast when she totally turn down horse face? Didn't you notice how she acted when you guys introduced yourselves to each other?" "Wait Eren I think your right! So that does mean she has a little bit of feelings for me?" "I think so Armin." Eren smiled at me. I smiled back to Eren then I noticed Jean, who was obviously upset.
"What's with that face Jean?" I ask. "He-he called me horse face." "Oh get over it." I say as I put my book away. I lay down on my bed smiling. I finally know I have feelings for (y/n) and it helps knowing she probably does too. "I can't wait to see her tomorrow." I smile as I remember her cute face, and slowly drift to sleep.
