I swing my legs as I look at the view outside the window of the bus. Waiting for my friend to enter is the longest wait ever, because he takes such a long time to get ready, but it allows me some thinking time. Because this is the school bus, it has to wait for him, but it doesn't mean that the driver likes to. I honestly can't believe that we hadn't heard of this bus sooner, because walking to school was a big pain.

"I really couldn't have done it without you!" Blake squealed while wrapping me into a bear hug, startling me out of my thinking time.

"What?" I asked. I had a bad feeling about this. Blake pulled away to shoot me one of his heart melting grins.

"Well, I saw you and Rene talking, right? And her giving you that piece of paper?"

"Oh, yeah." I replied uncomfortably, and squirmed in my seat. "About that. I think I lost it, because I can't find it." I lied swiftly, faneing sadness.

"Oh." Blake's face dropped its' smile, and I felt guilt punch my gut.

"I'm so sorry!" I cried. "I promise, I'll make it up to you somehow, I'll clean your room, do your homework-" I was interrupted by his burst of laughter.

"You... should... h-have s-s-seen your face!" He wheezed.

"Why are you happy. I lost your  would be girlfriend!" I inwardly cringed at my words, but I was also surprised. What is wrong with him?

"I found the paper, crumpled, on the ground to stands. We have to pass that pathway to get to the changing rooms. Lucky, huh?"

"Yeah." My heart clenched, which instantly made me wonder why I was jealous. Was I scared that I would loose my only friend, or was it something more? "So what did you think of the note?"

Blake wasn't really the type of guy who fell for kisses on papers and slutty comments, but as he lifted the note up, I realised that Blake had already begun falling, and that it would be really hard to catch him.

"She gave me a kiss! And she told me that she would make my time worth it!" Gross.

"Ok. So did you call her yet?" I grimaced at how pathetic my voice sounded. But Blake didn't seem to notice.

"Uh, No, actually. I was thinking of texting her instead. Something like, come meet me outside the school lockers?"

"Great idea," I strained me voice to get the words out.

"Do you think that's too desperate? Should I just be like, I don't know, I really like you. Do you want to be my girlfriend?"

"Are you stupid? You can't be so full on!" I know my tips were eventually going to come back to bite me, but the best friend side of me was kicking in, and honestly, Blake didn't have a romantic bone in his body.

"What do you mean?"

"The girl doesn't really even know you! I mean, I know she seems really slu- I mean really..."

"Flamboyant?" He supplied.

"No. I guess you could call her forward, though. Anyway, do you even know her?"

"What do you mean?"

"Stop saying that! I mean, what is her favourite colour? Where does she live? That sort of thing. Just because you are experiencing the whole love at first sight doesn't mean she is! Get to know her before you ask her out!"

Blake looked stunned (only for a second) before his smile brightened. "Damn, Athena, I should start calling you Aphrodite!"
