"It's midnight already." Nathan said, gobsmacked, as he looked up at the marble clock, ticking away.
I joined him and look up at the clock aswell.
"Blimey!" I laughed. "Times flies when you're having fun."
Reality was, I was having fun, maybe life wasn't going to be so bad. Nathan was still the same Nathan, which was amazingly good! My heart was still skipping a beat everytime he opened his mouth and as soon as words came out my heart would melt, it was a wonderful feeling, I just wanted him to know how amazing it was aswell.
"Looks like a better be off then!" Nathan smiled, grabbing the cup off the side. "I need to catch up on some sleep."
I followed Nathan to the kitchen as he lay the cup carefully down onto the kitchen desktop.
"Good idea! I'm starting to get tired now." I laughed, faking a yawn.
"I'll see you tomorrow then?" Nathan smiled.
I could hear party poppers bang inside my head.
"Sure!" I smiled hugging him just after he slipped his warm looking, green coat on. As I hugged him I traced the golden looking button on the back on his coat.
Nathan quickly pecked me on the cheek, happiest moment of my life.
"Eww!" I teased, wiping my cheek.
Nathan laughed, quickly pulling me up to him, he grabbed me and picked me up bride style. I hated people picking me up, but when it was Nathan I felt like he was my prince and I was his Damzel in distress.
"I'll drop you!" Nathan winked, he let go for a mili second and quickly caught me again, pulling me even closer to him.
"Don't you even dare Nathan James Sykes!" I said, panicing a bit, holding him even tighter.
"Would I ever drop my Cassie?" Nathan laughed.
"Erm, yes!" I said, looking at the ground and back up at Nathan.
I caught a long eye contact with Nathan, words didn't need to be said, there wasn't any words to descibe what was going on. My head slowly leaned forward, so did Nathan's, our lips only inches apart. My eyes shut slowly, just as our lips were going to meet. *knock knock*
Seriously!? Nobody ever knocks for me, and at this time! Any other time but now. Both mine and Nathan's eyes opened, he gave me an awkward smile and put me gently back on the ground.
*knock knock knock*
"Who could that be?" Nathan questioned.
I shrugged, I couldn't believe what had just almost happened. I took a step to the clean white door and opened it to find her. Miss Perfect. She was prettier than what she looked like on the photos. She smiled at me, showing her perfect white teeth. She flicked her gorgeous thick brunette hair behind of her.
"Hey." Her strong American welcomed.
She looked over my shoulder.
"Is Nathan with you?" She asked, but she'd obviously seen Nathan. I smiled back and looked around at Nathan, his face brightened.
"What you doing here?" Nathan asked.
"I caught a plane." She laughed sarcasticlly. "I thought I'd suprise you."
"How did you know where I was, where the house is?" Nathan asked, he raised an eyebrow, confused.
"Jay, he told me everything only if I admitted to him that we were together though." She laughed, she quickly glanced at me then smiled back at Nathan.
"Talk about telling me first because I'm your bestfriend." I mimicked to myself. Lies.
"So aren't you going to come
home then?" Caitlin asked holding her hand out for him to hold.
Nathan walked past me and hugged her quickly.
"Tomorrow then?" Nathan asked.
I nodded. "Tomorrow."
I watched as they both walked off, happily into the night. The odd streetlamp shining down on them. Showing me how amazing their relationship was.
What was I supposed to say to him? No you can't go out with this super hot, stunning, perfect girl because your un-perfect bestfriend loves you. It's a bit obvious who he'd prefer to be seen around with, hugging and kissing, holding hands, cuddling up to eachother on rainy days. I was truely and utterly jealous, I couldn't help it. I hadn't moved from the same spot for 15 minutes that I was so unasure of what to do. I looked down at the cosy, warm looking carpet, full of warm colour.
I headed back into the living room and went to turn the oversized, black TV on. I could see my reflection in the TV. The obvious sadness in my eyes. But boys didn't know about that kind of stuff. I sunk back down into the cold, chocolate coloured leather sofa and flicked through the channels, hoping to find something that would cheer me up. I found 'Mean Girls' being repeated on Channel 4 so I settled down and started to watch the film. I grabbed the pillow that matched the sofa and rested my head on it, slowly beginning to doze off....
