I had that same dream again, as I was just trying to forget it, it was pushed back in my face again and I realised how awful and cruel that nightmare really was. It frightened me to death, even though I knew what was going to happen, I tried to wake up but I just couldn't not until the blood was right up to the top of my neck when I'd shoot up out of my bed, almost screaming.
I imagined Nathan's face again, his 'normal' face. Defiantly not the angry one like I dreamt about. His flawless fringe which would end up covering his deep brown gorgeous eyes. He had a perfect smile which never failed to make me faint inside, there was nothing that I didn't love about him. That was it wasn't it. Love. That word can change someones life you know? You've never heard such a powerful word in your life, yet, nowadays people just go round saying it when never actually meaning it.
So, looks like I'm going to be meeting perfect Caitlin today. I really don't want to, seriously. It wasn't like I was being a horrible person or anything it was just that after yesterday, how upset I got over the fact that Nathan and Caitlin were actually an item hit me and how fast it happened as well. I almost cried in front of Nathan and I couldn't really keep the lying trick up for much longer, so what if I burst out crying in front of Caitlin and ended up telling her that I loved Nathan and that, I mean, what could be worse?
After taking about half an hour to get ready I heard a knock on the door. Keep a straight face and smile. Don't get carried away talking about Nathan. Oh, and act normal. This won't be hard..... Think again.
Keep calm Cassie. Open the door normally, 3....2....1....
"Hello." I smiled opening the door, I looked up to find Caitlin, flashing a smile, with some amazing, (expensive) clothes on, which made her look as gorgeous as she usually did. Her make-up was perfectly done and her teeth were as white as last time, I mean, is that even possible?
"Hey, you okay?" she asked, I stepped back and welcomed her into the house.
"Good thank, yourself?" I replied, walking over to the living room and sat myself on the sofa.
"Yeah, great thanks." Caitlin smiled, taking a seat next to me.
She grabbed her small bag next to her (it must have got her hundreds.) and pawed through it, seconds later pulling out some mascara, looked posh. She handed it to me.
"Ergh, what's this for?" I laughed. "I haven't got you anything."
"It's okay, I just thought maybe, erm, you'd like to try it." Just said, giving me a half smile and pointed at my eyelashes. "Since your mascara is a bit, erm, you know."
She flashed her million dollar smile again.
Eh? What's wrong with my mascara? I spent £10 for mine, I thought it was pretty decent. Ah well, just smile.
"Thanks, I'll try it now." I smiled.
I got out my mirror from the draw next to the sofa and quickly wiped my old mascara off my face a replaced it with the one Caitlin gave you. As I was 'putting on my mascara' I quickly glimpsed at Caitlin to see what she was doing. She was hooked onto her phone, obviously texting someone, Nathan maybe? I hoped not, he hadn't replied to my text in a while.
"So, where are we off then?" Caitlin asked, sliding her phone safley back into her bag.
"Well, there's a few shops down the road, cafe, stuff like that if you want to go there for a bit." I offered, nodding to my left.
She nodded in agreement. We both stood up and went to walk out of the door, she quickly checked her phone again and put it back down. Hmm, maybe she wasn't going to be so bad after all.
"So, Nathan..." She smiled. "I want to here how you both met each other."
Cassie, quickly change the conversation before you say something you don't want to.
"Ever since we were little really, went to primary school together and I guess our friendship just grew from there." I smiled, remembering the old days, it was good back then.
"What? You've been friends for so long and you've never went out with him?" She asked, looking a bit shocked.
"Ergh, no. We've just been best friends, that's it." I said, putting on a smile.
Caitlin inspected my smile for a minute.
"Are you sure?" She asked.
I nodded. "Sure."
"But your face doesn't show it." Caitlin sighed. "Like you're hiding something."
"You're a rubbish mind reader." I lied, well I was obviously a crap liar, and at the end of the day she was a girl so she'd obviously know there's something wrong. "But anyway, here's a cafe."
No, she couldn't find out.
"Are you sure?" She bugged, but it was too late, I'd ran into the cafe and went to order a drink. "Do you want anything?"
"Is there any water?"
"Water?"
"Yeah, water. They must sell water here?"
"But they've got loads of stuff to.."
"Just water please."
"Erm. Okay."
Water?! Is that why she's so skinny. I think I might get something healthy aswell.
"Hello, how can I help you?" The woman behind the counter asked.
"Erm, can I have water and a drink that's healthy please?" I asked.
"Two waters?" She laughed.
I laughed back, and nodded. "If that's all you've got."
"Well, I don't think anything here's healthy. And don't you normally have a hot choclate?" The woman asked.
I laughed and nodded. "Well,I'm with someone new, make an impression."
I let my eyes do that talking, the woman at the desk looked over, realising how posh she was for people like us.
"Wow, she's a bit fancy." she laughed. "Oh, here's your drink."
I smiled and took them off her, grabbing my purse.
"Don't bother. It's water." She laughed.
"Thanks." I said walking off, I guess she was a bit fancy.
Caitlin thanked me for the drink as we sat down.
"You've got water too?" She asked, taking a sip out of the ice cold water.
"I fancied a change." I laughed.
"So..." She carried on. "Nathan. Do you like him? Like love him?"
Why was she asking me this?!
Oh God, please no, somehow I knew she was going to get the words she wanted to hear to come out of my mouth.
Shut up Cassie, shut up.
