In this world, we only have to do two things. Be born, and then die. The journeys we take can be long and hard, but sometimes, it is worth it. Human life is short, and at any moment, it can be taken away. But where do those soles go... They pass on, to a place unknown until death. But, my people... We aren't as lucky.
We aren't like humans in so many ways. Yes, we are living. We eat, we breath, and we feel. But, we can't die from natural causes. The ways to kill us may be limitless, but they are hard to do.
Humans don't know of our existence, but we know of theirs. Don't worry, we don't live in the human world. We live in our own place, our own universe. It's called the Multi verse, and to humans, it's nothing but fairy tales.
My kind are born to take care of these "tales". We are trained to watch over them and make sure everything runs smoothly. You may think that Beauty and the Beast was an amazing love story, but there's more to it. It didn't happen the way you think it did. There are always two sides to every story and we are trained for the bad side.
The place we are trained is called Never Ever After Academy. We start our training as soon as we are born, and we don't leave until we are killed in our story. Only the strong survive and the weak die. We have no time for love, we have no time for life. When it's time for the next generation, all we can think of is how fast we want to get through it so that we can continue our jobs.
Our tasks are hard, and we are not able to do it all on our own. The day of our birth, we are given a partner. One of us trained in how to handle everything, in lame mans term, the muscle. The other, is trained in knowledge of everything, the brain. Sometimes you get along with your partner, sometimes you do not. It's natural, after all, your stuck with the person till death.
When our partner dies, we too, die. Our life forces are connected. There fore, one, cannot exists with out the other. Sounds bad, but who would want to live with out their other half. My names, Sabrina Black, and I am a student in Never Ever After Academy. I'm the best of the best. My job, is to make sure all fairy tales go smoothly. Sound easy? Not at all.
