Soft sound of heels landing upon solid ground echoed through the halls. Some students turned a little to look upon the teacher. Ms. Jade walked quickly, not paying attention to any of them as she walked. She didn't care that the sound of her heels was disrupting some students, and really didn't care that it was scratching up the ground.
Tightening, her hold on her briefcase, she made a sharp turn. Throwing open the door to the classroom. It was empty except for the teacher sitting at the desk grading reports.
The tall man lifted his gaze to her and frowned a little. He sat down the current paper and wrote a grade on it as she walked over. Fixing the stack, he moved them to the side and looked at her in amusement. Instantly annoyance washed over her face as she slammed her hands down on his desk.
"Do not look at me in that stupid smug way. I'm here on business and that's all." She snapped then turned to get a chair.
Leaning back in his own seat, he watched her and waited until she was seated across from him. "You're here about them, aren't you?"
"Yes... I'm worried, they haven't sent in a single report. Have you checked up on them yet?" Her face softened when he nodded.
"Mhm. Sabrina is handling herself the way I expected her to. But it seems Blake has fallen into the hands of an evil entity. Their controlling him and I'm sure that they will soon use him against Sabrina." He undid his tie and took it off. "Hopefully Sabrina is able to free him, but I doubt it... She is the only one in the class that has not come into her powers."
Looking down at her hands, she nodded a little. Worry washed over her as she replayed everything he had said through her mind. Taking a shaky breath, she closed her eyes tightly so that she would not cry. Slowly she shook her head, not wanting to imagine what would happen if Sabrina was unable to help him.
"We need to go and help them... We can't just let them die.." Her voice dropped to a whisper as she opened her eyes and looked at him.
Shaking his head, he stood up and walked around the desk. "We can not. You know the rules against that. If they die then they die. There is nothing we can do.... There is no plausible cause to us having to go and help. I'm sorry Jade..." He placed a hand on her head. "All we can do is hope that they both have something up their sleeve, they are unpredictable."
Ms. Jade nodded a little as a tear slipped down her cheek. "Yes... You are right..." She looked down at his desk. A book sat where the papers had been, having had been under them the whole time. "We are born to fix things that go wrong in fairy tales... To die in a fairy tale is to die with honor..." Her fingers ran over the smooth cover of the book, "No one helps anyone but their own partners... To help would be to tarnish ones name and I couldn't do that to them..." Sighing, she stood and picked up her brief case, turning to face him. "They will make it."
He nodded and smile, placing a soft and tender kiss upon her forehead. "Lets go, it's getting late."
Nodding, she turned to leave with him. As she walked from the desk, her gaze flickered to the book on the desk. It was Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. The cover had been wrapped to a horrible sight that should never have been there. 'Please... Make it back...' She prayed softly in her mind.
