Life Goes On - Kellic

Chapter 7

So tomorrow is the day. The day I'm getting out of here, and I'm going to be on my way to see Vic. Matty and I have been planning everything about this trip. His parents allowed him to go, so that's great and he won't get in trouble from them. Matty wants to met Vic since I've been talking about him forever, and I can't wait. I know it's takes at least a day or two to get there, then Matty wants to hang around for a couple of days, then he's going to drive back to Michigan, I feel bad that he's going to be alone on the way back though. Matty's got a shirt and pair of pants he's going to let me have so I can change into, cause there's no way I'm spending all that time in the fucking in the uniform. And I'm going to have to pay for most of his gas, I know he was joking about it, but since I am making him drive, we decided that I'd pay for at least three tanks worth of gas. This plan is fool proof. Cause we're leaving early in the morning and hoping to be way out of state, by the time school would get out. We don't live that far from the state border so it's possible. And that way they can't catch me. And I'm free forever.

The bell rings pulling out of my thoughts which I didn't realize I have zoned out so long. It took me a minute to realize where I was. Then I stood up and made my way to the cafeteria to have lunch with Matty. Only when I arrive there's a guy sitting next to him. He has red hair too. "Hi Matty" I said to him. "Hey Kellin, this is my cousin Jesse" he said to me. So they are related. "Hi" I said to Jesse. "Kel, do you mind if Jesse comes with us tomorrow?" Matty asked me. "No, I don't care as long as he doesn't tell anyone where I'm going" I said. "Don't worry he won't" Matty assured me. "Ok, then" I say to them. And we spend the rest of the time talking and I get to know Jesse, he's a cool guy. I told him why I'm doing this and he agrees that if he were in my place he'd do the same. And the the stupid bell rings once again causing us to once again separate and go our own ways until the end of the day.

I wake up early cause I couldn't really sleep, today is the day. It's my 18th birthday and I'm outta here. I quickly put on the damn uniform in case one of my grandparents are up and see me leave. I take my backpack with me that I filled with my things. Yesterday when I got home I was alone and I searched for my CDs and other things she took from me, I eventually found them all. And I walked out of the house and looked at it, for that's the last time I'm seeing it and I don't want to anymore. And I head down to the spot I meet Matty everyday. I see his car pull up just as I get there, and I get in. "Hey Matty, Jesse" I said to them. I was in such a good mood, and there's nothing that can ruin it. "Hey Kellin" they said to me. Matty handed me the clothes and I changed. "Hold on.... Before we leave I need to do one thing" I told them. And before they could say anything I broke the cell phone my grandparents gave me so they can't reach me. And I left it on the ground. Now we're on our way. And Matty drove off heading south.

Today's Kellin's birthday and i don't get to spend it with him. He's turning 18. I remember when I turned 18 and what he did for me, and I can't do the same for him. But he said that he was going to be here, sometime near his birthday, so it could be any day now. I just don't know when. I've been listening to the cd he gave me all the time, it's all I have of him and all I had for the whole month and a half since I got it. The songs still make me cry when I hear them, also I read the note he sent over and over.

I told Jaime the day after I got it and he was so happy for me. Mike ended up telling Tony, when came over that night and he noticed a difference in me. He was happy about too, cause they know how I've been since he left. Words can't express how excited I am. Mike told Hayley and Justin that Kellin's coming back he told me that they are happy to get to see him again. I told two of my friends that I met in college we got close and they were able to put up with me. They are Ariel and her boyfriend Shawn. They're nice and really cool. Ariel has pink dyed hair and is slim figured and wears a lot of black and fishnet type clothes, and she's pretty, Shawn has a blonde mohawk he's tall and slightly muscular, he also plays guitar, which is cool and she sings.

Lately my parents have been trying to  talk to Mike and I more, which is odd. Mike has actually embraced it more and accepted they're apology, but I haven't. I know I'm being stubborn about it, it's all I've ever wanted but I can't get over somethings that they did, I don't know it's going to take more than an apology for me. I hope they know that, if they really want me to forgive them. I can't until they tell me why they did what they did.
