Life Goes On - Kellic

Chapter 4

(Third person pov)

To clear thing up: Kellin is still upset about the moving away from Vic, and won't stop trying to escape until he can see him. However Kellin is more angry then anything, toward his grandparents of course. So that's why he rebels and goes out with Matty and get tattoos and piercings cause he knows his grandparents won't like it. Cause when they took everything that defined Kellin's personality away from him he had to find another way to show it off. Kellin's grandparents are his mothers parents so you would think that they would be nicer to him. No they are bitter to him, cause Kellin was the reason she moved them to San Diego and that she dies there and is buried there. And his grandparents never liked Kellin's father, they told Mary many times to leave him. But when she found out she was pregnant she wanted the father there, then she had Kati, her pride and joy. Every one loved Kati. Then Mary found out she was going to have another baby. And everyone was excited. Then Kellin came along. It wasn't until Kellin was old enough when every one noticed that here was something off about Kellin. He would play with all of Kati's toys and not his own, and then he would alway play with all the girls. But fast forward, his grandparents started disliking him when Mary allowed him to like that music and dress that way. And just be himself. Then he told everyone the was gay, they lost it. Then Kati died, and everyone was so upset. Then Kellin over heard his grandparents talking, "honestly if either of them had to die way was it her, and not him, she had more going for her, and Kellin, well..." And that was all he heard then he ran away from there and back to his mom, Kellin was only 15.

But now that Kellin lives with his grandparents, they think that they can change Kellin, to the respectable man they want him to be. So they stripped him of all his old friends and personal items. So he could have a clean slate. Little did they know that's not what Kellin wanted. To them Kellin was a pain in the ass, he was always getting in trouble at school and would cause trouble by getting a tattoo. They were going to throw Kellin out once the graduates, then he can do whatever he wants. But they don't know that Kellin's already planning his escape. The only reason they would stop him when he ran away those other times it was only because they are responsible for him, and they would get in trouble.

Vic on the other hand he's very depressed about Kellin leaving and also doesn't know what to do with himself anymore. Mike has been very patient with Vic and his way of dealing with everything. But recently their parents have done more then just ignore them, they don't even talk to them at all any more. With everything going on Vic has a lot on his plate and with him about to graduate community college he's not sure if the wants to go any were else after. Mike feels bad for Vic because he knows how hard it was when Alex moved away after years of being friends, but Kellin leaving was worse because Vic loves Kellin, and Alex was always a friend to him, yes they dated but he was a friend mostly and he wasn't in love with Alex.

Also Mike knows that Vic is jealous about him and Tony because they haven't had anything bad go on. So to Vic they practically have a perfect relationship. But Vic doesn't know that he is putting a strain on the relationship, because Mike is so focused on helping Vic and getting him to get better, Mike sometimes will take out some anger on Tony. Tony knows that Mike has a lot of stress about Vic, and that Mike doesn't really mean it when he gets mad at him, and Tony tried his best to not let anything Mike says when he gets mad, get to him.

So a little background on Vic and Mike's parents, and why they ignore their children. It wasn't until Vic was about 12 when they noticed something off with their son. They didn't want to make a big deal out of it so they slowly started to detach themselves from Vic. Vic was very close with his father, they bare the same name, Victor. His father could understand Vic better then anyone. At least better than his mother. Victor Sr. would always encourage his sons to play an instrument, and make music. So when Vic turned ten years old his father bought him a guitar and then later on that year Mike got a drum set. And also taught them how to play. Vivian on the other hand, loved her sons, but there was one thing she noticed in Vic that sparked her concern in him and that she distanced herself. When she told her husband he was hurt by her choice but then agreed.

Both got jobs as doctors and then as time went on it became easier, but then when Mike was about 12, the same age Vic was when they noticed, they noticed the same thing in Mike, it was a bit harder to tell with him, because Mike was always more of a trouble maker, then Vic was. Then when Mike was able to handle more on his own they detached more. So with that both children were slowly losing their parents, because there parents didn't know how to tell their children, what they saw in them that made them be this way, also they didn't want to hurt their children, by possibly saying the wrong thing to them. They know about Vic's condition and that he tried to kill himself a couple times, to which they were heart broken, because they still love there children, they just don't like some of their choices. But also once they realized what they were doing was hurting them more then they originally thought, got them thinking, but if they try now and rebuild that relationship with their kids, after all this time, it will only make Mike and Vic mad at them, so they stayed away. But they over heard Mike and Vic talking about things and some of there conversations with friends, to know what's going on with them. They really want to try to rebuild the with relationship with Vic and Mike, but they have to overcome their original reasoning. So they are soon going to try before it's too late.

So when Matty dropped me off I quickly got back and started writing that letter to Vic. I have to tell him why before he had a chance to hate me. Even though it may be a little late for that. But hopefully that this will help him understand my situation here. And that he can forgive me. I spent four hours working on it, making sure everything was in there and that everything was correct in terms of spelling and grammar too. I have to make this perfect. As I finished I realized I needed and envelope, and I can't just ask for one, and I can't ask Matty so I have to get creative, I folded one and then I put Vic's name on it and address and it was ready to send. Tomorrow is the day he will finally get to understand.
