Madison POV
It was the weekend. Things between Shawn and I haven't really gone anywhere. But I just couldn't get him out of my mind. Even the song he played for me the other day was stuck in my head. Memories. I could relate to it in so many ways. Shawn has a real gift.
He's so real. That's what makes me like him so much. It's not just his good looks. I love how genuine, down to earth and kind he is. Fame isn't taking him over. And I'm hoping it never will.
I keep going back to that night when Shawn took me to look at the city lights. He knew something so simple would amaze me. He knows me too well. I smiled by the thoughts inside my head.A few of my friends and I are going bowling tonight. It's gonna be Hannah, Stef, Brian, Ian, Shawn and I. Even though I suck at bowling I thought it'd still be fun to get out of the house and hang out with friends. Plus I'll see Shawn again which always gets me weirdly excited but at the same time I don't really want the others to suspect anything and make dumb comments.
I saw Shawn pulling in my driveway as I looked out the window. When he got out of his black jeep. He made his way to my porch so I grabbed my stuff and headed down the stairs to open the front door for him before he could even ring the bell.
"Ohh hey" He said surprised still leaned in towards the door bell. He was wearing a casual outfit, his fluffy brown hair perfectly framing his face.
"Hey, I'm ready" I told him smiling.
"Alright, let's go then." he said as we walked to his car.
He started driving and after a while I suddenly I felt my fingers being interwined with Shawn's. I smiled at the thought of us.
We got to the bowling place and everyone was already there. We talked for while and and then got our bowling shoes. We all grabbed some food and began our first round. As I mentioned before I sucked at bowling but gladly I wasn't the only one.
"Ughh..just great" Stef says rolling her head back as her bowling ball rolls to the side of the alley and only hits three pins.
"Well it's my turn and trust me I'm not any better" I said chuckling as I got up to grab a bowling ball that's not too heavy.
I swung it down the lane and of course. I missed."See?" I rolled my eyes and threw my head back laughing.
"Aw it's okay" Shawn said laughing as he pulled me down by my hand and I now sat on his lap. We didn't even realize everyone had their eyes on us until Brian made a comment.
"Loooooove is in the air" He said swinging from side to side.
"Ha ha, shut up Brian" I chuckled and got off Shawn's lap taking a seat next to him.
We played two rounds in total and I slowly got better and it was still a good night out with some friends.
We were all heading out to leave when I pulled Shawn back a little."Hey Shawn?" I asked placing my one hand on his chest. "How about I take you somewhere tonight?"
"It's getting pretty late. Where on earth could you be taking me? You rebel." He replied sarcastically.
"You'll see" I quoted what he always says to me when I ask the same exact question.
We got to the parking lot and I stuck out my fand for him to give me his keys.
"What?" His eyebrows furrowed in confusion.
"Your keys please?!" I said in a duh tone.
"You want my keys? To drive? My car?" he asked not really trusting me.
"You don't trust me, do you?" I said nudging his shoulder.
"I've never sat next to you while driving, you know " he said chuckling.
"Well now is your chance" I said snapping the keys from him and getting into the drivers seat.
"I guess I need to since you won't tell me where we're going" he said, a smirk forming on his face.
It didn't take us too long to get there since we were already in the town center. I parked outisde of an old tall building in a street surrounded by little shops.
"This is it" Shawn asked glancing up at the building.
"Yep, c'mon" I said pulling him with me by his hand. I got a key out of my pocket and opened the front door, immediately heading up the stairs to another door.
"Wait? How do you have the keys to this place? What even is this?"
I didn't say a thing, I just opened the creaking door revealing a room full of instruments.
"Woah" Shawn looked around the room in amazement.
"This" I paused. "Is my dads little music store." I smiled at Shawn who was now going around the room looking at all the instruments in awe.
"This is your dad's? Wooow.. This is amazing" He sat down by one of the old pianos and started playing a bit.
"Come here there's something else I wanna show you." I said making my way to another door in the way back. It led up to the rooftop.
"I knew you had a thing for the city night lights" I said chuckling as we sat down on the edge, my head resting on his shoulder.
"You always seem to me amaze me" He laughed a little. "This is beautiful, just like you"
"Ewww cheesy Mendes" I thre my head back laughing at his compliment.
We sat there for a while. Bright lights and the sound of soft music filled the air, mt hair flowing in the cool fall breeze.
"Hey.. Madison?" he mumbled.
"Yeah?" I replied looking him directly in his beautiful brown eyes.
"Do you.. want to be my girlfriend?"
He asked shyly."Yes. Yes of course" I said a huge smile forming on my face.
Shawn sighed in relief. "You don't know how nervous I was to ask you that" he said chuckling.
We both leaned in for a passionate kiss, smiling into it. His one hand cuppng my face, the other by my waist as I tucked
on the back his brown fluffy hair.
This felt so right. So perfect.
