Here we test your art in many different ways and viewpoints.

Since this is our first contest and there were only a few entries (but by all the sardines, I'm so happy that there were actually any at all) we decided to skip the 2nd voting stage and also skip ahead of schedule and just announce the winner today instead of waiting for the last day of the month!
This doesn't mean that our normal schedule has been altered in any way, this is merely an exception.

We love the patch work design and the many details and of course this picture just strives with creativity!
The shading is quite nice but I suggest maybe getting some softer pencils ~2B - 5B so you can do darker shading and create more contrast.
Otherwise your style is very adorable, though I would suggest trying yourself on blank paper, as the lines ment for writing just go in the way of your art. You could either buy blank writing paper or just steal the paper from your printer, it works quite nice as well.
If you're gonna be drawing mainly in pencil I suggest using paper with a smooth surface, as a textured surface will make the pencil a bit harder to erase and blend.

This drawing gets awarded the Top Picture for especially these reasons:
We think that you used very nice colors for the picture. The line art is very clean though a bit wobbly at times, but we can see that quite a lot of effort was put into this piece concerning both characters and background.
The characters are not overboard but still good designed so you can easily focus on the setting.
The shadows are quite good in the skin though they lack/ are almost non existent in clothing and furniture. This piece would improve by quite a bit if you had a consistent shadowing.
The proportions on the girl are very good, but they lack in regards to the table. I suggest that you practice a bit more in that regard using different angles and focusing points.
Also it might be a help for the wobbly lines if you draw the line very quickly, so your hand won't have any time to lose control. Just swipe the pen like it's sonicing over the tablet!
Otherwise the picture is lacking a solid floor that the male would be standing on and it also seems like he doesn't have any legs. Tho the leg part would dissappear if you had a floor, making it all a part of prospective.
Otherwise you did a very good job!

This picture was very close to becoming 1st place in Top Picture as well, but in the end we had to reconsider.
There's no way of missing the reason why this is our fan favorite tho!
Firstly the art stile is very pretty, kind of a mixture between cartoon and anime as AJ would say.
The line work in very clean and the proportions are quite good.
Though I would say that to my eye the arms are a bit too short and the hands too small.
The coloring is clean and rather solid, though would suggest adding a bit of shadows to bring your picture more to life (if that is the kind of style you're going for of course. If you prefer a non-shadow style, the just ignore me I guess XD).
Otherwise this picture is very neat and cute, though... I'm not completely sure what that blue thing under the green haired girls armpit is... I mean it's most likely a bag put it just kinda looks like it's squished between her arm and torso, but that's just my way of looking a it //shrugs//

Gosh, I've been rambling quite a lot haven't I? I do apologize, I just get to much into these kinds of things XD I really hope you understood what I was talking about, English is hard man...
