"How do I look?" Annabeth asked for the billionth time. She turned to face me and smoothed her hands down the white skirt she was wearing, paired with white heels and a pastel floral long sleeved top. Her hair was out and flowing in loose waves; her makeup was dark. Long story short, damn.
"Beautiful." I smiled softly as she blushed. "What about me?"
"Sexy." Annabeth winked. "Nico would love it."
Then I was the one that blushed. I was only wearing a white shirt with black jeans and combats. I'll add my leather jacket later.
"Well, too bad he won't see me in it." I grinned as Annabeth rolled her eyes.
"He will one day." She flicked her hair as she walked out the door, and I frowned playfully as I followed.
I grabbed the car keys from the counter and walked into the living room, where Paul and Mom were sat on the couch together. I felt a surge of warmth as I saw Mom's hand cradling her bump gently.
"See you guys later." I smiled and leaned down to give my mom a kiss on the cheek
"See you later, baby. Have fun, you two." Mom smiled back at me warmly as I stood back up.
"Stay safe, son." Paul said in a fatherly fashion, and then he looked behind me to Annabeth. "You too, missy."
"We will, sir. Don't worry." Annabeth grinned.

I began to feel nervous the closer we got to Piper's. There was obviously gonna be drink there. Lots of drunk people, which were one of the main reasons I didn't really like going to parties. They were fun, but sometimes it could get a little overwhelming, you know?
"Hey," Annabeth's voice pulled me from my thoughts, "what's up?"
"Hm?" I glanced at her briefly. "Oh, uh, nothing."
I could feel Annabeth's stare linger. "You don't have to drink tonight, you know."
"Yeah." I dredged up a smile.
"I mean it, Percy. Don't take a drink if you don't want one." Annabeth said sternly.
"I won't," I chuckled. "Don't worry, Wise Girl."
"Good." Annabeth sat back in her seat and began humming along to the song on the radio. I smiled in amusement and shook my head.
Pulling up to Piper's house, my stomach did a flip. You could hear the music from a mile away.
Annabeth and I walked up the steps to the house. My palms felt damp.
Annabeth looked at me reassuringly as she pushed the door open and we walked inside. The overwhelming scent of alcohol felt like it was suffocating me already. There were people standing everywhere, it was hard to make out where the dance floor was.
"Percy! Annabeth!" I jumped as I felt a hand on my shoulder, but relaxed as I saw Piper's face under the glow of the neon lights.
"Hey, Pipes!" Annabeth shouted over the music with a grin.
"Yo!" Piper smirked back and clapped my shoulder. "You two want a drink?"
