You remembered when it happened, everything happend so fast. The sudded white screen of "All data lost." You stood there in shock as everyone started to panic.
"Wheres the shinigami?" L said alarm was in his voice.
"Good question. I don't know."
"It just disappeared!" You yelled. Everyone started to look around for it.
"Everyone the shinig-" L stopped mid sentence, you stopped looking at your lover.
"Ryu?" You turned around to see L fall out of his chair. Shock flooded room.
"Ryu!!" You screamed running to his side. It felt like so motion. You feet felt like you were tugging sender blocks. Your voice started to fade. Tears now exited your eyes. Everything was silent until you reached realization.
"Ryu! Please! Don't leave me, I love you!" Tears fell from your eyes. His eyes were wide but calming down when he saw you, you felt your loves hands grasp your hand.
"Ryu! Please, fight for me! Fight for us! Fight for...our baby." His eyes seemed to widen but slowly drain, a faint smile seemed to appear on his face. Tears continued to flow down your face but a small laugh came out.
"Ha, yes Ryu, you are a father." Life started to leave him.
"Baby, I love you. D-don't leave me." Ryu's grip started to loosen, he rose hus hand with the last bit of strength he had and moved a strand of hair out of your face.
His eyes closed.
"Ryu?....RYU?!" You sobbed into your now dead lovers body.
"(Y/n) he's gone." Light said putting his hand on his shoulder.
"NO! NO! NO! PLEASE GOD NO!" you sobbed, swatting Lights hand away.
"Damn you Kira!" Light yelled.
"Damn you Kira! Damn you to hell." You whispered.
You sat back in your car, parking on the outside of the cemetery. You got out and walked to your loves grave. You always went to visit L everyday. You walked along the dirt trail and approached the small tomb.
"Hello again my love. I- well I'm sorry. Please don't think Ill of me but I had to quit the task force. It...it just reminded me of you, whenever I do my work I just think of you. I...I'm sorry." Tears escaped your eyes. "Um...well our daughter is doing amazing in school by the way. Her teacher says she's the smartest kid in her class. Just like her father. She reminds me so much of you, when she focuses enough she bites her thumb or when she does her homework she sits just like you. Heh, she told me you visited in her dream. She described you perfectly. Our little (Y/Dn)." You felt tears stream down your cheeks. You fell to your knees sobbing.
"I'm sorry...if you were here you would tell me not to cry, that my beautiful eyes shouldn't be ruined by tears. Oh L! I miss you so much! I...I can't do it anymore. I love you more then anything. My days seem so bleak and grey, ever since you died I..I..I can't think straight. (Y/dn) sometimes has to snap me out my trances. I...I really miss you." You wiped your tears away. "Oh..yeah I um..I brought you this." You pulled out a rose and a small drawing. "(Y/dn) made the drawing for you, it's us in front of our house, your the once with the angle wings." You placed the drawing down on the grave. You felt another tear escape your eye. You stood up wiping it away.
"I love you. I miss you." You felt a soft breeze blow your hair out of your face. You turned away ready to walk back to your car until you heard
"I love you too (Y/n)." You turned around to see L standing there. You stood in shock before the tears started to run down your face. You ran up to him embracing your love.
"I missed you!" You cryed. You felt him hug you back.
"My love please no more crying. Your eyes are to beautiful to ruin with tears." He kissed your tears away.
"L, our daughter-"
"Yes I know I heard. Our baby girl is growing up. She is beautiful just like you." He smiled down at you. "Yes I did visit our daughter, she is definitely both of us. She has your stubbornness and beautiful looks."
"She had your brains and your personality." You teased. He smiled at you. "I...I'm sorry. I must really disappoint you I-" your sentence was cut short by a pair of lips.
"I will never be disappointed with you, I love you, more then anything. Always remember that my dear (Y/n), my life time was cut short but I will always be with you." He held you close in his arms.
"I...I feel like I can't do it without you L, I don't have enough strength or will power to go on. Kira is still out there and I'm scared that me and (Y/dn) won't be safe. Mello and Near found out about us, they came by to see me and (y/dn). They said she looks just like you." A tear threatened to escape your eyes.
"I know my love, remember even though I'm not there I will always be with you." He paused as if someone said something to him. "I have to go, but my love, please stay strong it may seem impossible now but i will always be with you. I'll protect you and our daughter, some how. But always remember I love you, nothing will ever change that." A breeze went through your hair you closed your eyes so see L was gone.
"Remember I will always be there for you. I love you my sweet (Y/n)." With that he disappeared. You looked up towards the sky.
"Okay my love. I'll stay strong just for you. I love you. Until tomorrow my love." You turned around walking back to your car, wanting to get back to (Y/dn).
"I love you my sweet (Y/n). Remember I will always be with you, and protect you."
