Chapter 3:
That letter changed my life. It's not really like I had a life before that, but from then on I've had a purpose. I have received letter after letter, all on the same day. I never respond, because there's never any question as to what she wants me to do. She told me little personal information about herself or her past, and it's been hard not to wonder if she's real. I felt like Charlie's Angel.
The last letter I received was two days ago; it said only three sentences.
Dear Jessie,
I'm sorry I haven't explained everything, but I will. Meet me at Blackfriars Bridge in exactly one week. Don't be late.
Tess
I don't know what I'm going to do to get there, but I know I have to get to London. This woman has been dictating my life, and while I'm not resenting that, I want to know who's been in charge.
The past two days I've been going everywhere and pulling all my Downworlder strings in order to get to that Bridge, to no avail.
I called my last resource today: Ragnor Fell. But it wasn't Ragnor that picked up.
It was Johnathon.
