Fifth fighter? 


Hiei Jaganshi 


"How is Kira's condition?" I ask , standing next to Kurama with arms crossed and eyes closed , as soon as Botan came out of Kira's medical room treatment. 

"Well.." She began , but was cut off. "Excuse me." An ogre came , and had envelopes in his hands. "I have these letters." He handed them to Botan and she took them. She thanked him , and he excused himself. She handed us the envelopes , and I raised my eyebrows as Kurama slightly looked shocked. "What's the matter?" Botan asks. Kurama separated his gaze from the envelope to her. "It's an invitation to the Dark Tournament." "Then that last envelope.." I say , glancing at the one in Botan's hold. "Is for Kira. And I'm certain it's the same thing we got." Kurama finished. Botan's eyes widened. "Oh my.." 

"Well?" I impatiently snap to Botan , making the girl jump. "No need to be impatient , Hiei!" She said with a nervous laugh. I only kept a straight face. "Um. Well , as for Kira's condition.." She began. "Half of her rib cages were crushed into little pieces causing her great pain and bleeding. Also , those pieces got through her lungs too. So that did fatal damage to her lungs , making internal bleeding , the pieces get inside of the lungs, and made it very hard for her to breathe , and cough up blood. She won't be moving for a while." She said in sincere concern , and Kurama gasped. I gritted my teeth. "Her head had dried blood too , which means her head was crushed into cement walls more than one time." She explained in sadness and worry. I gritted my teeth. 'Damn. I feel.. like this is my fault. I shouldn't have brought her with me.' 

"That sure isn't pleasing at all." Kurama sadly said. I opened my eyes , about to leave. I have to get some air. This is putting pressure on me. I should have protected her!.. I can't believe I actually agreed to let her go there when the Toguro brothers were there. 

"Hiei!" Yelled out an outraged Koenma. I stopped , and he continued. "How dare you walk away! Isn't where this situation has gotten to all was because of you , Hiei?!" He raged. I opened my eyes. "I know. I am aware , Koenma." I hiss. "Well where do you think you're going , mister! And after this , how is she going to participate in the Dark Tournament? You know you need a fifth fighter." 

I blinked , looking down in thought. Suddenly , a nurse burst out of Kira's room. "Sir! Koenma! Kira has woken up , but she is in a hysterical state! We tried to calm her , but she was pushing everyone with great force! We can't handle her!" Without any further due , I flash stepped , going into her room. 

I got in the room , only to find her kicking , crying , screaming and yelling. "I d-don't want to live! Tell me why am I alive! I don't want to be! I'm WEAK! Worthless!" She raged in frustration , but heard the pain in her voice. She shouldn't even moving! She's only putting salt on her wound! "Kira!" I yelled as I got to her side , the others running inside with the nurse. "I should be dead! The Tougro brothers are right , I am a disgrace to the Nagashi! The Nagashi were all strong , not to mention they were male only! I AM FORBID TO LIVE. I just wish to die!" She screamed as hot tears only streamed down her face more , her hair was pulled out of her pony tail and some locks stuck to her cheeks. She was a mess. She started to cough badly, having now trouble to breath. Her eyes rolled back , and she swayed , light headed. Blood poured out of her mouth , and she let out a breath , before blacking out. "Kira!" We all yelled , as the nurse did her job as fast as possible. "Her condition worsened!" She screamed in worry. Koenma got frustrated. "Well HELP HER AS SOON AS POSSIBLE! I DON'T WANT HER DYING!" "Yes sir!" 

And like that , they managed to stable her condition later on. 


It's been four days since. If she would wake up , she would always pass out later. One time , she was about to tell me something , as I had never left her room , she passed out before saying anything.

Four days straight they had been trying to remove all the pieces from her lungs , and give her every medicine. Since she is a demon , the bleeding decreased and her rib cages were already healing , all is left is the pain , and the pieces stuck in her lungs , making it hard to breath and feel weird in her chest.
