I Love You

Greyson's POV:
The next morning me and Maple went to check on Fern.

"Would mama be ok?" Maple asked me while looking looking forward. I looked at her and licked her ear. 

"Mama is a strong wolf, she'll pull through." I said still having hope she'll wake up soon.

Soon we arrived on the cave and Fern was awake and wagging her tail. She tried to stand but couldn't so she layed back down. I smile and kiss her head as Maple runs up hugging Fern with great force.  

"Mama!!!" She screamed. I smile and sigh. It seems everything is perfect dispite the drama and problems, everything is A-Ok. 

Fern's POV:

I blush and lean into Greyson with Maple secured in my arms and smile. 

"Mama is better thanks to you Maple." I say smiling down on her. Maple's eyes widen so big I swear I saw a whole different universe in her eyes. 

"R-Really? How!?" I giggle at her bubbliness and kiss her head. 

"You gave Mama strength in tough times...I'm forever grateful for such a wonderful girl like you." I tell her. 

Maple smiles and beams with happiness. I really hope this moment lasts forever. I have a loving family and my injuries could have been worse so that's good too.

*Crack!* *Howls*

Weird.....I don't know who has a howl like that.....Oh no.... I think..

Greyson's POV: 

Everything seemed perfect until I heard a howl. A howl I despise and hate SO much I growl at even the slightest thought. That howl belongs to our enemy's leader. Igon.  He's a  red rust colored male wolf with a thirst for sick tricks and blood splattered across the forest floor. I quickly stand and transform into my wolf form and yell at everyone to take shelter in the cave. Chaos erupted, females screaming and pushing their way into the cave. I bark at the males to stay on guard around the cave. I hear Maple whimper. 

"M-Mama what's going on?" Maple whimpers.

"Shhh nothing dear, Dad will protect us. You'll see," Fern whispers back.

Then Fern gave me that look of worry and I put on my bravest smile to assure her. I made sure my parents were safe inside raced out to meet Igon's pack at the border. My heart is beating so fast I can hear it surging blood through every vessel in my body. When I arrived I instantly feel threatened. There Igon is, smirking in all his cocky ego. 

"Long time no see Grey~" Venom is just pouring out of his voice. 

"What do you want?" I said harshly. 

"Oh I'm just here to ummm how to put this...combine land. And it's not only me who wants this, the whole pack including the elders. If not......We'll take it by force." Igon said smirking. 

"No way in hell would I "negotiate" land. What would you give me? By the way, my pack is always up for a fight Igon." I growl. 

"Woah chill dude~ Think about it. Double the pack, more females, more food, and more power......You got until the next full moon to decide Grey." Igon said walking away. 

I stand there thinking: 'What the hell am I going to do?'

Fern's POV:

Now I know it's only been like what? 30-40 minutes? Not a lot of time but it's long enough to get me worried. All around me are other pack members. Surrounding me, bumping into me, pushing me. You get the point. It's crowded and stuffy in here, even outside! The males are crowded along the cave and some land surrounding it. Everyone is quietly talking and questioning what might be happening out there. Everyone's worried, even Greyson's parents. 

"Mama?" Maple's squeaky voice cut my thoughts. 

"Yes sweetheart?" I respond holding her close. 

"Daddy is coming back right?" Her big round eyes scan me for an answer. All I can do is smile and nod. 

"Yes baby. He's coming."
