*Rita's P.O.V.*
"So, you're a golem that was created by Merlin?"
I asked Luke, as I laid on a cot in the Annex's Main Room. Nodding, Luke added some finishing touches to a gift bag as he replied, "Yes, I am... gosh, it's still so weird for me to admit it outloud!"
A green bow sprung on the bags side, causing Luke to yelp.
I giggled, and laid back down on the cot.
Jenkins rolled his eyes and softly scolded, as Luke poked my magical bow, "You'll tire yourself out if you use your magic too much." I nodded and petted Griff's soft feathered head.
"Jenkins?"
"Hm?"
"I'm sorry I never told you who my teacher in magic was." I apologized, as Jenkins laid a cloth over my forehead, "I didn't want you to think I was against you."
"It's quite alright, Rita," Jenkins reassured me, then asked, "But may I ask why you wanted to learn magic?"
"Morgan Le Fay said it would be easier for me to stop Dulaque's plans if I knew how to identify and use magic," I revealed, sitting up. Jenkins wrapped a arm around me, allowing me to lean against him, as I added, "At that point in my life, I wanted to do everything in my power to stop him. I still do. But I didn't realize that teaching me would mean that a ghost from my past would possess me!"
"Raura." Luke vertified.
I nodded, flinching at my sister's name.
"Now that my sister is out of my head, I'll be able to use magic more freely, which means I can help protect the Librarians if Colonial Baird needs me.
What's gonna happen to... Raura... now?" I asked, not wanting to ever see her again. "Mr. Carson is locking her crystal somewhere in a place where no one will be able to get her, especially you." I nodded and said, "Good."
"Are you 2 a couple?"
I sat up as Cassandra, Ezekiel and Jacob walked in as Ezekiel added, "which seems a bit odd, in my opinion." Cassandra socked his arm. Jenkins and I shook our heads, scooting away from each other as we quickly stated,
"No way!"
"Nope!"
"We--were not----"
"We're just friends!"
"Immortal friends." Jenkins corrected, to which I nodded.
Cassandra giggled.
I rolled my eyes and scooted back to Jenkins side.
Hey, he's a comfy pillow!
Luke handed the gift bag to Cassandra, saying, "I'm sorry that I had to ruin your bag in order to capture Bulldog in my clay form..."
"I doubt Dulaque is happy with him at the moment." Jenkins added, cutted in.
"... so I wanted to replace your bag! Happy early birthday and Merry early Christmas!"
Cassandra thanked Luke, pulling out a bag and some coupons. "Wait, what are these?" Jacob asked, as Cassandra squealed and handed him and Ezekiel a coupon.
"Since you guys are such 'good costumers'", Luke revealed, as Cassandra handed Jenkins and I a coupon, "And because saving the world doesn't allow you to prepare your own food, I thought I'd give you guys some coupons to make your very own pizza."
Once everyone had thanked Luke for the coupons, I asked, "So how are you doing with wearing your new skin?"
After Luke had resorted to running around England's countryside in his golem form, Jenkins volunteered to help the pizza boy create a new skin for his body.
Luke stretched his arm and replied, "It's a bit itchy, but as Mr. Jenkins says, I should adjust to my new skin soon enough. Well, I guess this is the part where I leave until you need me. Or until Ezekiel orders another double cheese pepperoni pizza."
Ezekiel smirked as Cassandra giggled.
"See ya later, gators!"
Luke turned to leave the Annex by going out some stain glass doors, down a hall and out from a door in the base of St. John's bridge, in Portland Oregon.
Just then, Flynn and Eve came through the Back Door, (having just returned from the Library) and Flynn declared, grabbing Luke's arm and dragging him back to the Main Room, "O trust me, your adventure has just begun!"
Eve handed Luke and I each a sealed letter, then asked, "Where is Clyde?" "I'm just about to leave." Clyde replied, passing the stained glass doors. Flynn ran after him and dragged Clyde back, even as Luke asked, holding up his letter, "What is this?"
"This is the next big step in our lives." I thought, opening the letter. Bright, golden letters appeared on the page as I read outloud,
You have been selected
For a prestigious position
With the Library and Librarians.Rita : Librarian /Guardian
Luke Nicoletti : Librarian
Prince Claudin 'Clyde' : Librarian/Guardian /Caretaker
Timothy Mordred : Guardian
Terra Libby Banks : LibrarianWelcome to the Library
"Woohoo! I'm gonna be a Librarian!" Luke excitedly yelled, punching the air with his fist!
"Here we go again." Jenkins groaned, placing his head in his hands. I patted his shoulder reassuringly and told him, "Don't worry, Jenkins; Clyde and I know a lot about magic, so we won't be needing much training. Now Luke on the other hand...."
"O my Pikachu, I'm gonna be a Librarian! Wait, can I tell my parents? No, I better not them! They'd think I'm crazy and then they'll send me to a mental asylum! Bad idea! O, can I tell my little sister? Hmmmmmmmmm....... maybe..... O my Pikachu! I'm so excited I can't contain myself! I think I'm gonna faint!---"
"Are you done?"
".... maybe no?"
Jacob face palmed.
Flynn faced everyone as he asked Luke, Clyde and I, "So will you accept the positions of Librarians, Guardians and Caretakers, alongside Colonial Baird, Jacob Stone, Cassandra Cillian, Ezekiel Jones, Jenkins and myself? I'm offering you a life of mystery... *smirks* and misery... of loneliness... and adventure. More than that I'm offering you a chance to make a difference. And save the world every week. Twice before Friday."
I chuckled at that.
"Are you in?" Flynn concluded.
Clyde nodded and replied, "As long as I can continue hunting demons on my off time, I'm in."
Luke spoke next. "This will cause me the opportunity to help people and travel the world. You guys can count on me!"
Flynn turned to look at me.
I hesitated before I asked, "But what if... SHE... gets into my head again?" I tapped my temple to show a point. I, with Jenkins help, stood up and asked, "If I'm possessed by my sister, she could cause a lot of trouble for the Library and you guys..."
"Don't worry about a thing!" Clyde reassured me, "As long as Raura (I flinch) stays in the crystal, she can't escape."
Nodding my head, I revealed, "I've... done... bad things.... It's time for me to do good, for once. I'm in."
Jenkins smiled like a proud papa bear.
"But who is Timothy Mordred and Terra Libby Banks?"
Jenkins smile faded.
THE END..... Or is it?
