Wind was whipping our hair and mingling with the sounds of our laughter, as we rolled down the tall hill. His arm wrapped around me and the other gripping the side of the skateboard. I could feel his loud laughter, vibrating from his chest.

Not being able to turn in time, the tall grass at the end of the sidewalk halted the skateboard. The force pushing us onto the soft grass, giggling. His giggles then stopped.

I quickly flipped on my back and sat up only to see blaise and not 'Him'. "It's not real is it? He's officially gone?" I whispered to myself. My hands landed to my stomach, where an accident could've became our happiness, but turned into my constant reminder of 'him'.

I felt tears drip from my chin to my chest. "Itzy..." Blaise stared at with sorrow. "Please wake up. He's not here but he needs you." With that came a shove, forcing me to the ground burying me deep.

A sudden pain in my shoulder woke me up. I groaned rubbing my shoulder as I sat up on the floor.

"Uncle blaise made me do it!" Jae yelled, I glanced at him as he pointed an accusing finger at his uncle, before bolting from the living room to the kitchen. Several thumps were heard after him.

"I did not!" Blaise argued. "He's evil, Itzel. I was trying to stop him, but he's so freaking fast."

I rolled my eyes. Getting up from the floor. Making my way towards the kitchen to make sure jae didn't break anything.

"Itzy, were you crying?" Blaise asked. He put both of hands on my cheeks forcing me to look up at him. He wiped my tears with his thumbs and pulled me into a hug.

I pushed him away, and rubbed my eyes. "No, it's probably allergies." I lied, sniffling to support my lie. Though he didn't believe.

"You can't lie to me we've been friends for-" he was cut off by loud shatter. We both turned to see Jae staring at the broken cup on the floor with his short arm still stretched out.

"Don't move or you'll get hurt, okay, Jae?" Blaise ordered him and grabbed him from where he was standing sitting him on the small island.

I grabbed the broom from it's place. Leaning it against the counter, and squatted down to pick up the big broken pieces. A loud smack was heard beside me. I closed my eyes and squeezed my hands out of fear when the broom fell from where it was.

I opened my eyes to see blood oozing out of my hands. I threw the broken pieces into the trash can.

"Can you clean the rest? I think I cut my hand." I asked Blaise while rinsing my hand under the cold water.

"You think? Dude, that shit must be deep as fu-."

"Language. There's a five year old here." I cut him off. I grabbed napkins holding it against my hand, making my way down the hall towards the bathroom.

"Ooo uncle Blaise said a bad word." Jae giggled. Watching Blaise picking up the mess he created. "Momma!" He gasped. "Momma I want to make cookies." He said, Crawling to other side of the island.

"Are we out bandages?!" I yelled from the bathroom. "A bandage will not cover that cut." Blaise responded.

Closing the mirror cabinet, I threw the paper towels in the trash, walking back to the kitchen grabbing a handful of paper towels pressing them back onto my cut. "Jae, baby, pass me the tape from the drawer." Trying to adjust the paper towel to my hand. I taped the napkins to my hand. Improvising at its finest. "I guess we're going to store."

I carefully grabbed Jae, carrying him to his room. "Put your shoes on, and grab a sweater it's a little chilly."

Ruffling his soft jet black hair, I watched him by the doorway, as he quickly put on his light up skechers, and his black sweater. (My boy popping with his light ups lmao.)
