Chapter 24 × Fear ×

Sonata's POV

While we were walking through the eerie halls of the tower a voice said.

"Heeeelp! Heelp meeee~~~~"

'No way in hell!'

Suddenly I cling onto the closest thing next to me , which was Cyborg's arm because right now.

I'm defenseless.

Without my guitar, I'm just an ordinary human.

"This way." Robin said marching towards me and grabbing my arm.

"M-M-Maybe y-y-you sh-should g-g-g-go."

"Nope, we are going through this together." Robin said dragging me with him.

When we got to the source of the voice, it leaded us to Beast Boy's room.

"Geez. Beast Boy ever heard of spring cleaning." I said covering my nose.

"Heeeelllppp meeee~~"

"NNNNOOOOOO!" I whail not wanting to go any further.

"Come on, it'll be alright. I promise." Robin said putting his hand out.

"Okay.." I said taking his hand and walking slowly to Beast Boy's closet.

Although when Robin opened it, it turned out to be something far worst.

"AH!" Everyone shouts as a pile of dirty laundry buries us.

"Help me. Help me. Help me count!"

COUNT?!

I pop my head out of the laundry and saw a toy monkey with cymbals clapping.

"Hahaha, I really don't play with that." Beast boy said.

I grab the toy monkey and throw it somewhere in Beast Boy's jungle room.

"Come on, we still got places to check." Robin said getting up.

Everyone walks out of Beast Boy's room and stands in the hallway.

"Oooh Big Scary moonnnkkeeyy~~" Cyborg said in a ghostly tone.

"Hahaha, You two should have seen the looks on your faces." Beast Boy said pointing at me and Raven.

"You mean this look?"

"You mean this look?!"

Me and Raven said giving Beast Boy an angered or more like very pissed off face.

"That's more angry than scary." Beast Boy said backing up a bit.

"I already told you. I. Don't. Get. Scared." Raven said sternly.

*ROAR*

"But I do. RUN!!" I scream as we all make a run for it.

"Look over here!" Cyborg said pointing at a door.

When we open the door, instead of safe. We were sent falling.

"AAH!"

Starfire and Beast boy ( the only ones to fly right now ) grab Cyborg and Raven, While Robin grabs my arm and uses his grappling hook to hold on to the ceiling.

"Are you alright?" Starfire asks us.

"Never better." I grumble.

Once we all got down safely, we walk out of the room and see no sign of the monster.

"The creature is gone. We are safe. For the moment." Starfire said walking out to the main hallway.

"Okay, don't even try to tell me that didn't scare you—" Beast Boy said but was cut off by a tentacle grabbing him.

"AAHH!"

"Nooo!"

"BEAST BOY!" Robin said about to grab him but the monster was fast.

"What did I tell you! The funny guy fiiiirrsssttt!!" Beast Boy said as his voice echoes through the hallway and completely disappearing.

We follow where the tentacle came from and saw that it lead to the evidence room.

"*gasps* Beast Boy he is."

"Gone." Raven said.

"Give me some light." Robin said,

"The evidence room. What are we looking for?" Cyborg said shining his light around the room,

"Something that shouldn't be here." Robin said walking in the evidence room.

As we walk through the numerous evidences, I can't but feel utterly disturbed by it all.

At the end of the room, Control Freak's remote was still there and untouched.

"Control Freak's remote."

"Right where I left it." Robin said picking up the remote.

"But how could he conjure up his monsters without his technology?"

"Maybe he had an extra remote." Cyborg said.

"Yeah, like nine of them or something." I said.

"I'm starting to think Control Freak doesn't have anything to do with what's been happening." Robin said.

"The who is then?"

"Well whatever is doing it, they're not going to scare us." Raven said.

Suddenly Robin perks up.

"Fear.....That's it!"

"Fear?"

"Yeah, the movie, the monsters, Raven's powers, the answer's right in front of us."

"Then spill it wonder boy who is it so I can kick some ass." I said.

"If control Freak isn't the one controlling these monsters then it has to be--" Robin said but was suddenly grabbed by a tentacle!

"ROBIN!"

Me, Starfire and Raven grab onto Robin but he slowly starts to slip.

"No way in hell am I letting go!" I said grabbing onto Robin harder.

But the monster being stronger, manages to pull Robin away though the wall.

"ROBIN!!" I scream and start banging on the wall.

He can't be gone...

"NoNoNoNoNoNo" I said repeatedly punching and banging on the wall.

Why...

Why him...

"Sonata..."

"DAMN IT!" I said and punch my hand on the wall making my knuckles bleed.

"Sonata!" Cyborg said coming up to me and putting a hand on my shoulder.

"It's gonna be fine, we're gonna get him back."

"I hope so. But first, I'm gonna murder that octopus even if it's the last thing I do." I said.

"I don't suppose you guys knew what he was going to say?" Cyborg asks turning to Starfire and Raven who shake their heads saying no.

"Come on, maybe they're captured somewhere." I said and walking out of the evidence room.
