The Next Step ~ Internationals 2 (Season 6)

Calling Sophia...

Riley POV
I am so happy because internationals had finally arrived and I'm waiting with Jamed in the registration centre before the competition begins.
Touring around the world with James has certainly been eventful and I've enjoyed it a lot! I'd do it again in a heart beat!

James POV
I'm waiting in the internationals venue with Riley, you know just chilling and being cool and I see Miss Kate followed by Giselle and Then Noah, Amanda and the others and I know that A troupe has arrived.

"Yo Riley, Look they're here!" He pointed out, begging to rush over to the team, As James went over to them. Kate stormed past him looking very worried, as did The rest of A troupe. "Hey Emily, What's happened?" Riley asked, hugging her sister tightly and Looking her in eye.

"Sophia, the new girl who arrived after you left. Got on the wrong plane..." Emily explained.

Riley POV
On the wrong plane? How can that possibly happen.

James and Riley looked at Each Other, "What? What is it?" Emily noticed there subtle glances and sensed something was up. "Well it could have been worse, I'm talking delayed flights and etc..." Emily rolled her eyes, "thanks James(!)"

"Oh your welcome!" He smiled back.
"I was being sarcastic/She was being sarcastic!" the sisters said in unison. "So what now?" Riley asked, "Do you have any big roles for her or anything?" As much as Emily wanted to say there wasn't, the truth is that there was big roles for Sophia.

"She's um, Competing for Miss international Soloist" She answered. "Well that's not too bad i_" "and she's in the mystery round routine" Emily cut her off.

Riley POV
I thought that if she wasn't here for that round then someone else could fill in her spot until she was but hearing she's in another round too, it puts a lot at steak.

"Well all of this is irrelevant if I'm being honest" James Spoke up, now in a sensible mind set. "Sophia is going half way around the world and you can't even register until she's here!" He said. "But luckily the North American teams register the day after tomorrow so you do have some time"

James POV
I really hope it works out well for the next step! I've been to internationals as a dancer and it's everything!

Emily POV
I should be enjoying the experience not worrying like this, I hope it ends well.  

Kate returned from the desk moments later, huffing as she put her phone back in her bag. "I've been on the phone to BA and they messed up the boarding pass. She put Romania instead of Rio de Janeiro and the gates for those flights were next to each other"

Miss Kate POV
Well what a birthday that girl is having!

Amanda POV
She's going to Romania? I'm sure that's on the other side of the world?

"So they head office has called the plane and they are getting Sophia a flight to Rio as soon as they land" She explained. "So it's just a matter of waiting"

Piper POV
This is really stressful! We don't need this added pressure!

"But for now I suggest we just go to the Hotels and freshen up a bit. We can figure out who is gong to replace who in the event Sophia doesn't make it in time then" Kate suggested.

Riley POV
James and I are booked in the same hotel as a troupe so it's good for us to be able to help and spend to with them. I do hope she makes it back in time for the competition.

Rio Hotel ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The suit cases made a loud thud as the were left to drop on the floor. Everyone was tired and the heat didn't help. Sunlight shot through as Richelle opened the balcony door. Now everyone was in the room, it was time to get down to business.

"So, Where do we go from here?" Giselle asked, speaking first and dealing with the most pressing issue: Sophia. "Well, She needs an understudy. For the female solo and mystery round" Skylar said. "That's assuming she doesn't make it back in time, I mean Romania is quite a long way away so I guess....." Skylar went on, only to be silenced by the look Cierra Shot her.

"Well like James said earlier, We can't even register at internationals until we have Sophia with us" Emily said, standing up and walking over to the refrigerator or get a glass of water from it. "Well hopefully we can figure a way around that part"

Miss Kate POV
Maybe if they spoke to Sophia over the phone or something maybe they'd let us in.

"But I agree with Skylar, She does need an understudy so Richelle. You will be the back up for the female solo round and Joey. You will be the back up for the Mystery round. But now this made the alternates unhappy, "Excuse me miss Kate? What about us alternates, surely we should be the back up dancers?"

"You are" Kate answered, "But we need to have the strongest dancers performing for those rounds and can I remind you about the 5 point advantage? Your our line of defence if someone gets injured or Ill" She explained. Charlie nodded at her response. "Okay, Whatever you say"

Miss Kate POV
I really don't need the added
pressure Charlie, don't be giving me grief!

"Well I'm going to head down to the desk and see what I can do to help us get through this" Kate said, already leaving the room.

Miss Kate POV
There HAS to be something we can do, or were finished at internationals before it's even begun!

Next time ~ A troupe bears good news but without Sophia, time is ticking.
