Roller Skate?

Gabrielle POV
Today is the small group round for internationals and I'm so happy because I'm an alternate and Kate gave me a spot in this one dance! I'm so thrilled and I'm thrilled for Noah and Sophia as they are the new Mr & Miss international Soloist!

Miss Kate POV
This year at internationals, there isn't a Multi country round. Only 20 teams advance into the Mystery Music round. This means we have to score within the top 20 highest scores to get to the next round. But there will be a twist in this round so we have to wait find out what that is.

A troupe were in the auditorium for the third round of the competition. In this round, teams would be eliminated quickly if their routines Weren't up to scratch. So it was important that a troupe was ready.
"So, today is the day" Kate began. At that time, the theatre was empty and her voice echoed through out the room.

"Today, dance teams will get eliminated from the competition IF they don't reach the expectation" The seriousness in her voice was very noticeable. "Only to top 20 teams go through the music mystery round so, come on Guys lets make it good!"

Emily POV
20 teams? 20? That's a drastic cut from 160!

Giselle ran into the auditorium a few moments later to get their attention, "Guys, Sophia and Noah are needed for there interviews"

Sophia POV
I forgot about them! I love being interviewed, Especially when it's about dance.

"...So you need to come to the lobby right now" Giselle finished, She began to walk out of the room with Sophia and Noah following. It felt great to finally have those titles belonging to members of The next step. 

Internationals lobby

With everyone that had happened before and during the first few days of internationals, the dancers hadn't taken much appreciation to the many different team uniforms and flags. It made the place look exciting and vibrant. Everything an internationals competition should be.

"There they are, right just keep your cool and don't say anything stupid" Giselle said, giving them both a little pep talk. Sophia and Noah could see both Ashley and Chuck standing in front of the SNR back drop. They proceed over to them.

....Today 160 teams will go to just 20. Well I think that's a very dramatic cut for the first elimination round of the competition but it's all apart of it...

Sophia and Noah stood awkwardly next to the hosts, it wasn't clear when they should broach them about the interview. They stood in view of the camera by mistake which was connected to several screen around the venue, showing off the awkwardness.

It was a few moments before Ashley leggat noticed them both. She nudged her co-host. "Chuck, Chuck, Interview!"

...and right now we are joined by Mr and Miss International Soloist, Surprisingly Both from the next step! This is Sophia and Noah.

Sophia and Noah waved.

How does it feel to both win The title and be from the same studio? It's not a very seen phenomenon here at internationals.

"Well, it's a bit of shock but I knew we could do it" Sophia answered confidently. "Yeah, We have the 5 point advantage so we're in a good place at the moment" Noah spoke up.

...Well that's fighting talk from Sophia and Noah from the next step. We'll be back later as the small group round begins!

Rehearsal rooms

Emily POV
We're in a Rehearsal room just waiting for Noah to come back and tell us what the twist is, I'm hoping its nothing to crazy but I'm not dancing in this round so if it is crazy then there's no pressure.

Noah came running into the rehearsal room moments later, he had just been at the dance captain meeting and A troupe were anxious to find out what it was. "So, this year you have to dance on roller skates...

Miss Kate POV
I'm sorry, did I just hear that they have to dance with roller skates? How is that even possible?

"Well you need to get rehearsing because I...." Emily began to talk but was cut of by Gabrielle. "No....no I don't want to do that" She said, Shaking her head. The though of dancing on roller skates terrified her. "I'm sorry what?" Kate asked, a sound of shock in her voice. "I don't want to dance"

Miss Kate POV
Gabrielle doesn't want to dance? She's an alternate that has been lucky enough to get a featured spot and she doesn't want to dance?

"I'm afraid you don't have a choice. You have to dance - we need you" She said, Giselle could see it all spiralling out of control. "Look Gabrielle, I danced blindfolded at internationals and i was fine" She reasoned. "Yeah, I was in that dance" Noah added.

Richelle POV
I'm nervous too, but she has dance!

"Look, We're a team, We have to face the roller skates together. So come on, let's rehearse"

"And go 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8......

Internationals theatre
1 hour later

Nathan POV
We're in the wings and about to go on stage and I'm super excited for this! I'm sure we can do this!

160 teams cut down to 20, were down to watching our last 5 teams and the next step is about to go on stage.

We can expect talent and a fight according to Mr & Miss international soloist from the next step. But with in this next round the teams have to dance on roller skates!

The small group skated on to the stage and awaited the start of the music - there was no backing out!

Next time - A troupe performs, Kate gets a chance in the spot light
