As I parked my motorcycle in the school parking lot, I thought of how happy I was that Thanksgiving was already so close. Don't get me wrong, school wasn't awful, but who didn't love a break from school? Plus it was my favorite holiday. I took off my helmet, setting it on my motorcycle and locking it. I took my hair down so I wouldn't get helmet hair and walked inside.

My two best friends, Emily and Jen, met up with me in the halls and we began to walk to our lockers that were all near each other's, hence how we met to begin with freshman year. They were twins, so they were double fun. No sarcasm, I really love them, they were always there for me like I was for them.

"Sup, Danes?" My guy friend, Marcus Falls, walked up to me with his friends.

"Nothin much, Falls," I laughed.

Marcus Falls was the guy in school every girl knew and wanted to sleep with, and the guy every guy tried to act like. I wasn't an outcast, though, like you'd think. Emily and Jen were my BEST friends, but there were a lot of people in school who liked me. Plus it was difficult for people to hate you when you were friends with the "bad boy" of the school, but let's be real.

Marcus Falls was not a bad boy.

He was actually far from it, but the way he carried himself, you'd get the impression that he was trouble. We weren't super close or anything, we'd only met last year, since he was new, but we knew basics. We didn't know each other's home life. We'd agreed that if we needed to talk to someone about it, then we'd go to each other, but it never happened. So either everything was fine at his house or he just went to his friends, Mike and Scott, instead.

"Still coming to the party tonight?" He asked all three of us, but it was more directed towards me.

"Obviously," Emily laughed.

"Was that a question?" Jen added.

"Yeah, seriously, Falls?" I teased.

"Just checking," he laughed.

I shook my head and opened my locker to get my science stuff out. When I closed it again, I turned around and Marcus had me boxed in. "Very funny, Falls."

"What?" He shrugged, moving side to side, so I couldn't walk around him.

"You're such a dork, let me go," I hit his chest and Emily and Jen just laughed, while Mike and Scott just stood, looking amused.

He stepped aside and I looked at Emily and Jen, who had smirks on their faces. They were goofballs. They thought any interaction I had with any guy was "ooh" worthy.

"Don't even," I stopped before they could start.

They held their hands in surrender, but still they had to laugh about it. "He's so hot," Jen said.

"Go after him," I encouraged.

"Maybe I will," she teased.

"Hey," Ethan, an old friend of mine, walked up to me. "See you tonight?"

"Headed to the party after school?" I asked.

He laughed and nodded.

"Okay, well, we have class, so see ya," I said and walked past him.

"You have guys just falling at your feet all the time," Emily chuckled. "Why aren't you with any of them?"

"Okay," I said as we walked into our science class. "First off, I do not have guys falling at my feet all the time. Second, I'm not looking to hook up."

"I'm not saying 'hook up.' I'm saying date," she laughed.

"Really, Erin, you haven't been on a date in three years," Jen reminded me.
