Run As Fast As You Can

Chapter 6

Time had past really quickly, since my run in with Nick, he hasn't said a word to me or anyone ever since I had beaten him. I walked towards the door for detention when I peeped in to see that Jack wasn't there, I sighed I couldn't go in yet I had to make sure he was there to.

I tapped my head thinking about where he could be, then it hit me of course I ran towards the stairs and jumped on the rail and slid down it burning my bum as I went down, I reminded my self to not do that again, Secondly I pushed the doors and ran outside towards the pool. I grabbed the handle and walked in the smell of chlorine it me. After getting use to the smell I walked towards the boys locker room I tapped on the door to see if anyone was in, if I was greeted with a nock back it either ment Jack was in there or was other people in there, I got no answer which usally meant no one's in there, so I grabbed the handle and headed in. I looked around and spotted Jack's bag with a black towels laying on it, I picked up the towel and went towards the actual pool.

I looked down into the water where the stopwatch was, I splashed the water about and he came up out of it
"Hey," He said as he shook his head, water went flying everywhere, I handed him the towel.
"Hey, here's you towel," He looked at me and smiled
"Thanks, Can you tell me what the stopwatch says I was recording my time under there." He asked taking the towels nd rubbing his hair.
"21 minutes, Impressive Jackson" He smiled with happiness and surprisement. I smiled back I loved seeing him smile, It was the first smile on his face I had seen in ages.

Me and Jack had been friends since we where little as his Mum and my Grandpa where friends, they had known each other too for longer than me and Jack had known each other, Jack had always been able to hold his breath for a really long time, but I'd never seen him hold his breath for this long. When me and Jack started to go to high school, we had become distance as I didn't want Nick to bully him, just because I knew him.

I waited outside of the locker room for him to come out, it had been 5 minutes since I had left him in there
Shio-"doesn't he get changed faster than this usally"
Shielle-"Yea he does" I said I put my hand up to knock, as I put my hand on the door he opened the door and walked right into my hand.
"Sorry" I said trying to hold but giggles
"It's Ok I'm use to it" He laughed
"Shall we go then," I said he nodded and we started walking.

we got to the stairs when I realised "Mrs Copheys gonna kill us quick Jackson let's go" we raced up the stairs when he asked "why do you call me Jackson?" I kept on running when I said
"because I like calling you by your full name, why? Do you not like it?"
"No its fine I like it really" He smiled but it was blurred as he was still running "I was just asking that's all, When you call me Jackson, I know who talks to me that way."
We reached the top of the stairs, we started to huff and puff when walking to our science room.
I peeped in side no one was there yet so me and Jack sat at the table furthest away from Mrs Cophey desk. We then sat in silents and I fell asleep.
