Chapter 29

I stood with Jack holding me back, Rose and Nick stood by the printer frozen.

"Shielle You need to get out!"

"What if we don't?" Morgan asked, trying to sound brave but what came out was more like a whimper. The lady stepped closer, her heel pierced Rins arm that layed on the floor. He yelped in pain as a small pool of scarlet liquid surrounded his arm.

"If you don't...well we will have some problems..." her eyes were emerald, illuminous green now that I could see her properly. She had blonde, curly hair which was pulled back into a messy bun at the top of her head. Even when I didn't think it her smile became bigger, the earth below us began to shake alittle.

"Guys..." I said eye the door, I moved Morgans and Jacks hands together and whispered in Jacks ear. "Make I run for the door when I say." I told Rose and Nick the same thing and stood back in front of the lady.

"Okay...we'll come" She smiled normally and stepped out of the way of the door. I picked up my half unconscious brother and dragged him. I looked at Nick for some help and he swung Rin of his shoulder.

Then just as we reached the doors to the library I shouted. "Run!" We all bolted out that door like Olympic athletes and ran down the street.

We stopped running after 10 to 15 minutes later and went into another park.

"I think we lost them..." I huffed,

"Mhm..." Rin said as Nick propped him up against a tree.

"Rin let me see your arm."

"I'll be fine"

"Rin." I scowled.

"You're not my older sister I can take care of myself." He took off his jacket and rolled up his sleeve. My heart sank, It felt like somebody had shot me.

"Rin! That's no way to treat your little sister! She was only trying to help because she cares! Be grateful that she isn't dead like my brothers!" Rose spat at him in disgust. I was shocked I had never heard Rose like that ever. Rin was quiet until he held out his arm to me. I went into my back pack and pulled out some stuff.

"This is really deep Rin"

"Mhm..." He mumbled, Morgan threw a small twig at his head and she scowled.

"But I think it will be okay...I know you heal fast."

"Thank you Shielle" he said pulled his arm away and crossed them.

I sighed and sat down next to Morgan. She smiled and hugged me, Rose had fallen asleep against Nick who was also asleep and sat by the lake that was in the park. I felt my eyes becoming heavy and my vision blurred as I went to sleep.

I woke up to the sound of a siren I turned to see a young guy, around mid-20's with short brown hair wearing a cops uniform.

"crap..." I thought immediately.

"Umm Kids where are you parents?" He asked looking at us, I looked at the others.

"uh..." I replied,

"Come back with me to the station and we'll let you call your parents" we all stood up and I spluttered out,

"Run" and we legged it away from, that cop. We got to the area in the park where there was a load of trees. We all stood quietly and I whipped my head around when I heard a branch snap. My heart dropped when I made out the faint figure of what looked like to be Jeff.

"Guys...We either go with the cops...or face what's in here"

"What's that supposed to mean?" Rin asked, Morgan nudged him and pointed to where Jeff was standing. "Yeah lets go with the cops..." with that we turned back to where we had left the cop and went with him.
