Chapter Five

We began by watching the episode Lois and Peter get high and within five minutes of it I was in stitches. The episode was so hilarious and I loved it so much I begged him to allow me to watch another. Hours passed as Liam and I watched episode after episode of hilarity and, somehow, he managed to ask me questions about myself in between at which I’d answer honestly without realising. Niall had retired to his room a while back, his face buried in his phone. Zayn, Freya and Louis (or Lois should we say?) sat on the other sofa watching a movie.

“Ahh, that one was hilarious!” I lightly chuckled as the episode came to an end. Moments later, I regained the awareness of my surroundings and looked up to see Liam and I were extremely close; my head rested on his shoulder, my cheeks comfortable against it and both my hands laid on his leg, the one closest to me. I flinched away with the realisation faster than lightning, my heart beat picking up in pace.

“I – I’m so sorry,” I mumbled, my cheeks heating up with embarrassment.

“No, no, it’s okay. I didn’t notice until now.” He let out a nervous laugh and the colour of his cheeks momentarily changed before returning to their original colour.

“I’m a little thirsty. I think I might go get a drink.” I stood up, hoping one of them apart from Liam, would direct me to the kitchen and give me a drink.

“Me too! I’ll come with you,” Freya called out, following my pursuit and standing up.

“Get me a glass too,” Louis said, his eyes flicking from the TV only briefly.

“I wouldn’t mind an orange juice, Freya,” Zayn smiled at her and she almost melted under his gaze. She had it bad for him.

“Damn guys! This is your own house. You boys are bad hosts,” she moaned as I laughed. “Oh and Liam, I suppose you want one too?”

“Actually my throat is a little dry. Water for me please. Thanks.” At least he has manners.

“Cheers mate,” they shouted to her, not acknowledging her the slightest. Freya, dramatically, stomped off towards the kitchen and I followed her. There was another door in the kitchen leading to a garden. Half of the garden was grass and the other half was a large swimming pool.

“You were kinda angry back there,” I said as she took five glasses out. She skipped towards the fridge and pulled out a carton of orange juice, pouring it into four glasses.

“Nah, I was just playing with them. They’re really fun to hang with,” Freya answered.

“You seem really close to Zayn, out of all the boys, I mean,” I smirked, changing the subject.

“Yeah, I guess that’s why I like him so much.” She whispered the latter.

“I mean, he had his hand around your shoulder and you leaned into him and everything when you were watching the movie,” I hinted, giggling like a five year old. “It was rather cute.”

“Oh, look who’s talking, Madam I’ve-never-heard-of-Family-Guy. You were practically on top of him, we all saw it,” she retorted in a mock voice.

“Freya!” I screamed, about to slap her for suggesting it. “I – we- didn’t even realise.” She poured tap water into the final glass.

“That’s what they all say,” she winked.

“I’m being serious!” I shouted before whispering. “Liam is just a crush. You know, one of those celebrity crushes that everyone has and fantasises about them but know it will never happen.” It was true, that ever since I was introduced to One Direction through the internet I had an immediate crush on Liam. I fantasised about our wedding but that was only a mere dream. Hey, he’s hot AND nice.

“But he’s in the flesh now, he’s real.” She nudged me with her elbow suggestively.

“Stop it, I told…” I began only to be cut off.

“I was only teasing, Iggy. I already told them you’re taken.” She reached over and rubbed my arm to calm my frustration. “How is your boyfriend by the way? The last time you mentioned him was about three weeks ago when you said he was perfect and you guys were going to a party, you told me on facebook.”

The frustration floated away when she mentioned him, only to be replaced with emotional pain. A lump formed in my throat and my lips trembled. My heart ached with the mention of him. Freya looked extremely concern.

“That’s the last time I spoke to him,” I whispered barely able to speak.

“Oh babe, did the two of you break up?” She asked, moving towards him.

“We haven’t even spoken to say if we’ve broken up,” I answered. It wasn’t a complete lie. Zayn walked into the kitchen, sliding across the kitchen floor with his socks.

“Vas ‘appening,” he said excitedly and then saw my face. He turned to Freya to ask what happen but she ignored him.

“Awh, tell me what happened?” she asked, pulling me into a hug. Zayn was standing behind Freya so he saw my face and realised that I didn’t want to say anything.

“Hey, the guys are waiting for their drinks. Let’s not keep them waiting.” Zayn saved me from saying anything else. He picked up two glasses of orange juice and chugged half of one glass down.

“Guess you’re right.” I was able to regain my stature where I brushed away the memory and smiled. Freya picked up her glass of Orange juice and the glass of water, leaving me to take mine. We all headed back to the living room.

Zayn handed Louis his drink, then took a seat next to him while Freya gave Liam his one and sat next to him. She wasn’t bothered to travel to her original seat next to Zayn. Lazy ass. Louis chugged the drink down, spilling most of it down his shirt.

“Louis, vat are you doing? It is all over your shirt.” Zayn adopted an accent, attempting to be dramatic as he placed both his hands on both his cheeks with his mouth wide open. I stifled a giggle.

Louis looked down, staring at his shirt with a frozen expression before he slowly lifted his head, glaring at Zayn. “How could you do this to me?” He responded just as dramatically. The volume of my giggle increased as I watched them improvise a scene.

“It’s because I love you, baby.” Zayn continued to use the accent, causing Freya to join in with the laughing as Liam smirked at them. He’s probably used to them acting. “And those clothes are just putting me off. I vant to be turned on, baby!”

“Awwh, that’s why I love you. Always looking out for me,” Louis responded with a very high pitch which caused me to slap my hand against my ears as his voice screeched.  He grabbed Zayn’s face, pulling it towards him and planted a sloppy kiss on his cheek. “I’ll go change now.”

“Gosh, you didn’t have to be that much into it,” Zayn commented in his normal voice and I could no longer keep it in. I burst into fits of laughter as Louis stood up to leave.

He halted by the door of the room and turned around to face us. He bowed at us, “Thank you, thank you all,” before he ran up the stairs to change into something clean before Zayn had a chance to react.
