Chapter Six

We spent about an hour after that watching TV, rarely talking which was a bummer plus I was still waiting to meet the final member of One Direction: Harry.

“Okay, there is officially nothing else to watch!” Louis, who was now wearing his normal clothes; a striped t-shirt, hot coral ultra skinny trousers and toms shoes, moaned as he flicked through the channels.

Throughout the hour, we all found ourselves switching positions out of boredom and currently Freya sat next to Zayn on the sofa he was already sitting on before (she just couldn’t resist), Liam remained on the sofa he was on, I sat next to him and Louis sat next to me. Niall had crawled out of his room and joined us in the living room where he sat on the other side of Zayn but Niall kept smiling when he received a text.

“I know!” Freya shouted excitedly. “You know how Ignacia knows everything about you guys, yet you haven’t even asked her one question. How about you guys get to know her? We could play twenty questions where each of you take turns to ask questions and she has to answer honestly and if she doesn’t I will tell you what the truth really is.”

I blushed, slightly frowning at her because there’s a lot about myself I planned on keeping to myself but when Freya and I first played the game years ago, we vowed never to break the rules so there was no way I could lie.

“Better than nothing,” Niall mumbled.

“Actually I think I know a little about her,” Liam said and I recalled our Family Guy session, where he managed to ask me questions.

“Oh really?” Freya asked suspiciously.

“Oh my God Freya! All he did was ask me questions while we watched Family Guy although I don’t remember what questions,” I laughed.

“Oh, I’ve got an idea! We should ask Liam questions about her and see if he knows the answer,” Zayn said as he leaned forward, a smirk playing on his face as he looked at Liam, then me, then back at Liam.

“Even better,” Louis agreed. I heard Liam sigh reciprocating the way I felt. I wanted to get out of this. I hate being centre of attention.

“Okay, something simple. What’s her favourite colour?” Freya was the one who began with the question. I sunk back into the sofa. Well, this is a question he doesn’t know the answer too.

“Red,” he smiled, answering without hesitation.

“Wait, what? How did you know that?” I instantly shot up, frowning at him. My heart beat faster because it was scary.

“Seriously, you don’t remember me asking you?” He gave me a look of confusion. I shook my head, confirming his question.

“Oh yeah, she’s like that. When she’s into something, like a TV programme, she doesn’t realise what’s going on around her but she’ll still respond to whatever’s going on. Her mum was telling me this when we joined our family in the living room after we unpacked her stuff,” Freya explained, chuckling a little.

I was still standing up, frowning at Freya for embarrassing me in front of the boys. They laughed along with her. Louis grabbed my arm and pulled me down onto the sofa very forcefully and I moaned as my bum hit the sofa hard, causing a pain to shoot through it, and the back of my head banged onto Louis’s shoulder.

“I’m so sorry,” Louis exclaimed with concern, rubbing my head and pulling me into a hug.

“It’s okay, I’m fine,” I smiled at him as he released me.

“Louis, calm down on the violence!” Freya yelled at Louis but she didn’t get up to console me as Zayn rested his arm on her shoulder. “You hit people really hard too, I still have that bruise from last week.”

“It’s your fault for hanging around with him, you should’ve kept your cousin away from him,” Niall joked. I almost forgot he was in the room as he kept quiet until then and I gave him a look of acknowledgement. “What? I felt left out, I wanted to say something.”

“Actually I get paid to hang out with you guys.” Freya stuck her tongue out teasingly. We all laughed apart from Liam who was looking at me.

“Are you sure you’re okay?” He asked and I nodded with a smile.

“Actually, you get paid for featuring in our song,” Zayn corrected her. “So basically we’re benefiting from you.”

Freya let out a moan before she changed the subject back to the question game but we all kept  getting distracted so we called it quits and I was relieved about that.

“How about I get my guitar and play a few tunes on it and you guys guess what song it is?” Niall suggested as we all tried to rack our brains to entertain ourselves.  We all agreed as Niall went to his room to fetch his guitar and, for some reason, Freya ordered us to sit on the floor in a circle. With a few arguments and grunts she finally got her way. Niall returned to the room, pausing when he entered the room seeing us in a circle on the floor, an empty space left for him in between Liam and Freya.

“Don’t ask, just sit,” Liam answered to his surprised look. Niall nodded and did as he was told. Just as he was about to strum the strings, noise from the front door reached our ears. We heard keys jingle as the door creaked open and shut again.

“Oh my God guys! You wouldn’t believe it,  Caroline…” Harry called from the hallway but trailed off as he entered the living room. He was wearing grey trousers and a puffy jacket with a chequered shirt underneath.

“Harry!” Freya squealed as she stood up and jumped him into a hug.

“Hey Freya,” he laughed as they let go of each other and then he turned to me. “Oh and Ig…Freya’s cousin.” He gave up on saying my name.

I stood up too and hugged him.

“It took me hours to teach you how to say her name and then you got it perfectly right. Now you’ve forgotten it? You boys are useless!” Freya scowled at Harry.

“Hey, I got her name right,” Liam defended himself.

“I just realised Liam was the only one to get my name right. He deserves a medal or something,” I smiled to myself. For some reason, the fact that he was the only one who got my name right attracted me to him more.
