Chapter Seventeen

I was pulled out of the car and then pushed forward. They took the blind fold off and dragged me towards a house. There was no point in putting up a fight since I’d be lost if I did escape anyway. These girls didn’t look harmful at all which bewildered me. I was able to see more clearly that the blonde girl had green eyes as we waited for her to unlock the door to the house.

“Take her to the study and make sure she doesn’t go anywhere,” she ordered the other two. “I’m just going to get something from my room.”

I didn’t know what to do, I didn’t know what to think. I was just really scared. I hadn’t been kidnapped before. They shoved me into a room painted a dark red. There was a desk with an office chair behind it and also a few sofas dotted around the room. There was a large book shelf stacked with folders in one corner of the room.

“Sorry about that,” one of the girls said as they let me go. “Just, she can go crazy sometimes. We didn’t want to do this, I swear, but she wouldn’t give us a choice. You can sit on the sofa if you want.” The shorter of the girls was the one to speak. Both girls had grey eyes and they were both tanned. There were only two differences between the two that I could tell. One had a birthmark on her left cheek and the other was slightly shorter.

“Err… thanks,” I trembled as I took the seat on a sofa. The blonde girl returned with a yellow folder on her hand. She stropped in and threw the folder at me. It landed on the seat next to me. She stood in front of me and the other two girls whimpered backwards. I glanced over the blonde girls shoulder to see that the other two were sending looks of apology.

“Look at them!” She ordered me and watched as I, slowly, reached over and grabbed the folder. I lifted the flap of the folder before taking a series of photos out. I gasped as I went through the them. It wasn’t the photo’s themselves that shocked me; I’ve seen them before, but what shocked me was the bafflement to why she had them.

The first photo was of the time Zayn and I hugged when we first met by the door of his house. The second was of the time I sat in between Niall and Liam, my head resting against Liam’s shoulder the second time we all met up at the café. There was another where Louis picked me up in the air and spun me around randomly at the park. There were a few other ones with Emma in the background but each one of them was with me interacting with one of the boys; mostly where Harry flirted with us, him and me standing quite close together.

“W…why do you have these?” I stuttered in confusion. Was she stalking my life? Although most of these have been put on the internet.

“You missed one,” she sneered, pointing at the folder. I looked in the folder to find a clipping off a newspaper. I gasped again, anger building up this time. The newspaper clip was something I hadn’t seen and as I read the title of the article, tears began to form.

Ignacia – The Player?

Below this title were a few photos with each of the boys and I separately. I read through the paragraph underneath them. Why were they labelling me? What about my sister or Freya? And how did know my name? Now people hate me here, as well as, back in Spain. I let a tear slip and it landed on the article. I looked up to the blonde girl, staring into her eyes.

“Why are you showing me these? Why do you want me?” my voice wavered. I couldn’t handle being hated by two countries.

“Bitch! You need to keep your hands off them, especially Harry. He’s mine!” She barked at me as she snatched the article off me, placing it back in the folder. She also took the photos.

“If he was the one you wanted, why didn’t you just go talk to him? He was right behind me and he was running to catch up while you were kidnapping me!” I stated, realising that she was one of those crazy fans I heard about. Quite harmless.

“Yeah well, I wanted to sort this out with you first.” She took a while to answer. “He was probably running after me anyway, I just didn’t see him. He probably remembers me.”

“You do realise kidnapping is illegal? They’ll probably trace your number plate,” I pointed out. She obviously didn’t think this out clearly. She scratched her head.

“Err… course I knew that!” She turned to the girls behind her who were seated on another sofa now. “Girls, keep an eye on her. I need to go do something quickly.”

They nodded nervously and she stormed out of the room. We heard her fiddle with the front door before it shut again. She was probably going to move the car somewhere else.  I laughed to myself before turning to the girls. They came towards me and took seats either side. I didn’t mind though, they seemed as nervous as me.

“She’s not always like this, we swear. We don’t know what came over her. We just saw you on the streets and she’s like you’re the girl that is touching up her man and then the next thing we knew is that we were kidnapping you,” the taller girl explained.  “We promise she won’t do anything. She’s lovely really.”

“Its fine,” I said, a little too calmly which even surprised me. “What’s her name?”

“Alexandra. Mines Elizabeth and she’s Hailey,” she smiled. “You’re accent is so cute, where are you from?”

“Spain,” I cringed. Spain always brought bad memories but bad luck seemed to follow me to England as well. “Do you guys believe that article?” I needed reassurance.

“Well, not really. It makes no sense to us really. If you were playing the boys they would all know and I doubt they’d want to date you if you were with all of them,” Hailey chuckled. The girls were actually really nice.

“That’s good to hear. I’m not really dating any of them. They’re just really easy to get along with,” I replied. Should I be telling them this? I internally shrugged. It wouldn’t hurt.

“Oh, but you and Liam look kinda cute together. You have quite a few photos with him. You look like you’re having the most fun in those pictures,” Elizabeth sweetly complimented. A lump caught in my throat as she mentioned Liam with Jealousy. I was still not over Liam asking my sister out.

“Haha, maybe not,” I laughed it off. The girls, then, asked me how it was with the boys and I answered them honestly.

“Oh yeah, who’s that blonde girl that’s in the background of some of those pictures? She’s really pretty,” Hailey questioned as she smoothed down her hair.

“My sister,” I sighed. Why did everything always come back to her?

“What, really? She looks nothing like you!”

“Well, not really. She’s my…cousin,” I struggled to say. “My mum was a triplet.”

“What do you mean?” Both, Hailey and Elizabeth, simultaneously said at the same time.

“Err…” I trailed off. Should I be telling them? They are strangers after all. But they do say strangers are better listeners than the people you know sometimes. And I was finding it surprisingly easy to talk to them. “Her Mum died giving birth to her so my parents took her in because they were told they couldn’t have babies. It was really by chance my brother and I were born.  I guess she inherited most of her father’s features.”

“What about her father? Couldn’t he take her in or something?” They both seemed really interested. This was the first time someone, other than my parents, were listening to me. I felt like I was wanted and didn’t feel worthless.

“No one really knows her father. Mum told me her sister had a one night at some party. She got drunk or something,” I continued. My heart was really warming to these girls. We heard the front door just then and the two girls shot up, standing in front of me. They gave me warm smiles as Alexandra walked in.

“Well, the car’s sorted,” she smirked.
