I sit among the village of what used to be my home. I'm the only Sapphire left. My whole kind was wiped out by those rebels. We need more colonies, why did they not accept it. I sigh softly. Tears start to fall down the middle of my face. I miss all the Sapphires. The talks, the laughs, the dances. A blue pearl comes to me. "Red Diamond requests your services Sapphire." I stand up. "Tell her I will arrive in 7 minutes." The pearl bows to me and runs off. I gather my 3 ruby guards and I walk towards Blue Diamond as requested. The rubys talk amongst themselves about beating the rebels if they show up. One of them pushes the one in front of me who backs into me. I hear a collective gasp around me. The ruby stutters an apology. "It's alright," I straighten up. "It was bound to happen." In all actuality, I had seen it in a vision. "Stay here." I tell them. They straighten up and I go to the Blue Diamond. "Well?" She asks rudely. "The rebels will come and wipe out seven gems including myself and two of my rubies until they are captured. I will then reform on homeworld." I reply. I've seen myself being a casualty, but I've accepted it. I go by my rubies again. "A beautiful place for a colony. I wish I had seen more of this world." I say quietly. "There's still time." Ruby replies. "A nice thought, but no." A voice calls out. "BLUE DIAMOND LEAVE THIS PLANET. THIS COLONY WILL NOT BE COMPLETED" Rose Quartz and Pearl start to fight. They poof four Diamond guards and two of my Rubys. The third landed on her stomach. I had seen her in a vision. I knew she would fail, but I accepted it. She couldn't though. I'm at sword point in front of the pearl. Ruby shouts, "NO!!" She runs at me an we spin until we fuse. "What?" The gems around us murmur. "Disgusting. Gross. EEEEW!!!" We unfuse. "What is the meaning of this?! This is not what you said would happen."
"I-I didn't see this. I don't know what happened." Ruby steps forward. "It's my fault Blue Diamond."
"Clearly. How dare you fuse with one of my pupil. You will be broken for this!" They go to grab her, but I take her wrist and I jump down to earth with her. We land softly on the grass. "Why did you do that?! I need to get you back up there." I shake my head. "They were going to crush you." My voice shakes, but I try to hide it. "There are tons of me." She insists. I feel ice encase my feet. Ruby wraps her arms around my waist and pulls me out of the ice and into her arms. We go into a cave. I push my bangs from my eye. "Thank you." I smile. She smiles and heats up, making me giggle. She starts a fire and we spend the night in the cave. She holds me close to her as we sleep to keep me warm. I wake up in the morning. We fuse and we try to get used to the new body. We come across Pearl who has a sword pointed at us. "DON'T HURT HER" I hear Ruby's side take over. "Don't hurt......me?" Rose comes. "I'm sorry. We'll unfuse." Rose laughs. "No no. You don't have to." She tells us that what we're feeling is love and she asks if we want to join her in the rebellion. I was hesitant, but I know that neither of us can go back. We slowly nod and eventually became Crystal gems.
