Pearl pov

It's been 5,651 years since Garnet joined us on Earth. I see amethyst come back from the growing town with a Stack of boxes filled with doughnuts. I sigh, shaking my head in disapproval. How can humans even face eating?! It's so disgusting. Ruby and Sapphire run in. "They're here!!!" Sapphire says, panicked. "Who is?" Rose asks, leaving her room. "Homeworld! Dozens of ships are already popping up." Amethyst runs around, on a sugar high from all the doughnuts. "Let's burn them and toast them and have s'mores with them." She giggled. I roll my eyes. Ruby chuckles. "Not a bad idea." She smirks, earning a kiss on the cheek from Sapphire. Rose gathers all of us and gives us an upbeat speech, then sends us to the battle field. Soon, all of the red homeworld ships empty of their occupants and the gem civil war begins. I watch Sapphire give Ruby a nervous look. She looks terrified. She always hides her emotions, it's new and different to see her not being stoic. I see Ruby whisper something to her, wiping her lovers tears. The two kiss, fusing at the same time. I hear the metal on metal clashes from various summoned weapons. Yells are heard. Gems clatter as they hit the ground. The smash as gems shatter fill my ears. Gems have been looking since the war started. Day and night the battle rages on for 200 years. Getting nutrients and energy from our gems, we don't need to stop for food or rest. We lose gem after gem after gem on our side. I see a cornered Rose fitting a strong Jasper. I jump in front of her right before she can make a blow against Rose. I block the Jasper with my spear. We start to fight. I twist and twirl and fight with swift, elegant movements. I feel a spear go through my middle. I hear Rose gasp. Tears fill her eyes and she cups her mouth with both hands. "R-Rose...?" I stutter before I poof. When I reform, Rose hugs me tight enough to poof me again. "I'm OK Rose" I smile. I'm told that we won, but at a terrible price. Garnet (on consequently ruby and sapphire), Amethyst, Rose, and myself are the only gems left from our army of thousands. All of our friend. Gone. All those gems shattered.
