It's been 100 years since the battle among us gems. It was a hard one. We lost many many gems from both sides. It's hard, knowing they died because of a rebellion that I was leading. I Lead them to their deaths. It's hard to get out of bed sometimes......the times I tried sleeping. Its actually not that hard. Pearl thinks it's completely repulsive. Especially eating. Sometimes, I like to try and do things humans do. More and more humans are coming to this small beach side town. Just a couple hundred years ago, I was talking to Mayor Dewey's great great great great great great great grandfather. So long ago for them. There is one human who fascinates me. I have seen him grow from a small boy to a big boy...........I think the humans call it adult. His name is Greg Universe. He runs a music business and he's very talented. I find myself blushing just from watching him. I am the only person who shows up to his music concert. I feel bad for the human man. After he's done playing, I go to his table and I grab a CD. He says i can have it for free. He says something about a shirt, but then he runs off. I shrug in confusion and I go back to the cave on the beach. A few weeks pass. He's given me a free T-shirt and we hang out a lot. He makes me blush and giggle. He is so sweet. Today he has a tiny human with him. His name is Sour cream. I think Pearl is jealous of Greg and I. Greg waits everyday for us to come home from a mission. I try to be safe for him. His face brightens up every time we warp back. I giggle. He's so adorable. Today Greg takes me on a picnic on top of a hill. Even though I don't need to eat, I enjoy all the flavors. I eat, watching all the animals all over. Greg seems very nervous for some reason. "Greg what's wrong?" I ask, taking a bite of his sandwich. He pauses, seemingly trying to choose his words. "It's nothing," he says. "I just have a lot on my mind." I don't believe him. I can tell he's lying. "You know you can tell me anything, right?" I ask, looking into his dark eyes. He nods. He seems to struggle with what to say. "ILOVEYOUWILLYOUDATEME?!!" He yells all at once. I giggle. He's so cute flustered like this. "I would be delighted to!"

"Really?!" He says, eyes bright. "Of course." I laugh.
