Stormkit and Rockkit sneaked out of the nursery. "This will be as easy as taking a worm from a bird," Rockkit mewed. "Trust me, we won't get in trouble."
"But what if we do?" Stormkit asked.
"Well... we won't," Rockkit muttered.
"How do you know?"
"Because my head is bigger than yours. That means my brain is larger in size."
"Furball," Stormkiit mumbled under his breath. "I am older than you, acknowledge that."
The moon was rising higher and higher in the sky. Stormkit saw that it was a full moon- a Gathering near the Ancient Mountain. Some say that beyond the Ancient Mountain is StarClan, but nobody dared to climb it to see for themselves. Part of Rockkit's plan was to leave when the leader of RiverClan takes a patrol to go to the Gathering, so nobody is there to watch them.
"We're going to spy on WindClan while the leader is gone. Perhaps we may catch a few conversations about their recent news. This will be so easy, perhaps we might be back before the patrol." Rockkit seemed more enthusiastic than usual. Stormkit just shrugged and nodded.
When the two kits reached the WindClan territory, the elders were murmuring in low voices, the queens and kits were sound asleep, the apprentices were silently play-fighting, and the warriors that didn't go to the Gathering were preparing to go to sleep.
"Shall we wait for the warriors to go to sleep?" Stormkit asked.
"Of course not," Rockkit replied softly, "We are going to attack them."
"What?" Stormkit almost shouted.
"Silly furball, yes we are. Remember? We defeated WindClan, ShadowClan, and even ThunderClan once. A few warriors won't stand a chance."
"But Rockkit, that's only play-fighting!"
"Play-fighting is real. Only bossy warriors and nosy elders think they're not real." Rockkit was already stalking the warriors.
Before Stormkit could stop his brother, Rockkit pounced onto one of the warriors' heads, and starting nipping at the ear and batting at the warrior's face.
"Rockkit, STOP!"
