The Forgotten and Unloved

Prologue

At St. Mungos hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries in room 221B on March 1st twins were born and they're names are Maria Orchid Weasley and Ronald Bilius Weasley.

"They're adorable little twins!" One of the nurses told Mr. and Mrs. Weasley as she brought them over to be held by the parents of now seven children.

"They are aren't they?" Molly Weasley cooed as she held the twin name Ronald or 'Ron' as they would soon call him. Arthur Weasley held Maria in his arms looking down at the child wrapped in a pink blanket.

"What are their names?" The kind nurse asked the mother and father. "Ronald Bilius Weasley and Maria Orchid Weasley." Molly Weasley told the nurse.

"They are beautiful names for such beautiful little children." The nurse told them kindly.

As Molly and Arthur got home a few days later they were bombarded with questions by the older brothers of Ron and Maria. When Bill and Charlie saw they're little sister they're hearts melted while the three younger brothers Percy, Fred, and George were excited for they're new brother.

"Yay! Mowe twins!" The two-year-olds Fred and George exclaimed in unison.

"Mummy, what are their names?" The four-year-old Percy asked.

"They're names are Maria Orchid and Ronald Bilius. Now let your mother upstairs so she can sleep." Arthur told the children while they walked through the house.

"Mum, can Charlie and I hold Maria? We'll be super duper careful!" The ten-year-old Bill asked his father, wanting to hold his new sister. "That's fine Bill, but first let me get upstairs and then your father can supervise you while you hold her." Molly told her oldest child tiredly, she had dealt with crying twins for three days and there would be more tears to come with the twins.

As Molly walked upstairs to go to bed while the remaining eight Weasley's stayed downstairs to sit in the living room. As Percy, Fred, and George gawked over there new little brother, Bill and Charlie held their little sister and it was then that they silently agreed that no matter what they would always take care of their little sister.

As Maria and Ron grew to be a year old they grew tufts of ginger hair on top of they're little heads. Maria got less attention from her mother and father and three of her brothers Percy, Fred, and George while Bill and Charlie gave they're full attention to Maria and even bought her a teddy bear when she turned just a year old. Ron got most of the attention from most of the Weasley family while Maria was mostly in the background. But it all stayed still even when Maria's little sister Ginevra Molly Weasley was born. 

When Bill turned eleven, after Maria and Ron turned one, he went off to Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

While Maria grew older, she started to prefer the name 'Orchid' over 'Maria' so she went with Orchid. As Ron and Maria reached the age of five, Orchid was almost completely neglected by her mother and father leaving Bill and Charlie to raise her during the holidays from Hogwarts- Charlie started when Maria was three-and to fend for herself during the school year.

Orchid wasn't forgotten necessarily, but she was neglected and she had no clue as to why her own mother and father would neglect her at the age of five for her twin brother.
