Just a little note

I have never written a Wolf novel before, so if it sounds wrong, or if I have something really wrong, please tell me.

Sorry if it's a little dodgy.

Enjoy

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Running fast, I had no idea where I was going or going to end up. Trees pasted me and the gravel underfoot became slippery. My breathing was ragged and my heart raced, trying to keep up with my speed. I dodged trees and leaped over rocks, just in time before I'd crash or run into them.

Slowing down, only just slightly. I listened. Seeing if anyone was behind me still. I fully stopped and listened harder, desperately finding something. I watched as the trees swayed slowly in the warm wind that went through my fur.

Narrowing my eyes, I listen further, not happy with what I found. A few gun shots went off in the distance making me wince. A huge cry echoed through the trees making me stiffen. A few more cries went off, just the same as the first making my eyes water.

Panting hard, I lay on the ground with my head resting on top of my paws. Closing my eyes, I thought of everyone one who was out there fighting. Fighting and loosing, fighting to protect one thing. Me.

Another gun shot wet off making me open my eyes. This time, pain went straight to my heart.  high pitched howl went off making my heart ache in so much pain.

A few gasps went off from the killing side, and a few howled.

They knew she was dead. The person who they wanted to kill. I was a mistake. They thought I was her, so they thought they killed me not her. They were wrong.

Getting up on all fours, I growled at nothing. I was actually growling at the wolf behind me.

Slowly turning around I let his face. Our eyes met before I saw anything eyes. Huge, brown and beautiful.

I wasn't going to be distracted like this. Crouching low and showing my teeth, he did the same, but not in a fight like I meant, but playing.

His grey fur looked soft and warm, while mine looked. Well, brown and boring. I was the only one in my pack that had brown fur now. Seeing as the other wolf with brown fur was just killed.  And it was my fault. If I didn't run away pretending to be her, she might still have lived now. And I'd be the one dead.

If I could've chosen that, I would've.

My own sister, twin, dead. I've never made a choice without her. We were so close that it was hard to tell who was who. The only way was to know us really well. And my freckles. I had some freckles scattered over my nose and my cheeks. She however, had none. Her skin was perfect, and she had all the boys after her. Sometimes her boyfriends ad friends would come up to me and tell me something about something that only she would know.

I couldn't even say her name. Just thinking about her hurt so much.

Pulling back my teeth I stood up straight. I didn't want to fight anymore. I felt sick.

The grey wolf who was opposite me, saw my decision, and stood up straight too. He walked slowly over to me, as if he was scared to scare me away or if I'd attack him or something.

I wasn't really the fighting type. That's why I ran away.

The wolf was now beside me, his fur gently  brushing up against mine. I felt an instant pull towards him. A pull that I had no idea existed. Warmth shot through me, and my wolf got excited.
